My standard box made from a Maple board I bought in 1995. Maple box with Gabon Ebony paddle with Elephant Ivory enlay. 14 coats of hand rubbed oil finish on the outside of the box and 3 coats of Marine grade varnish on the inside of the box.

Final test run. Stained Maple body with 14 coats of hand rubbed gun stock finish on the exterior. 3 coats of Marine Grade Spar Varnish on the interior of the Maple body. Gabon Ebony paddle with Elephant ivory enlay, Gabon Ebony chaulk box/silencer both finished in a French Polish Lacquer.

Another Maple Box with Ebony paddle....another "Myth Busting" box call just to prove to the paddle swapping bOx call makers that there no need to swap paddles.
