Videos of hotels or resorts me and my partner stayed in during our vacations where we chill and do nothing much. If a hotel or resort we stayed in didn’t get a video of it, it just means that it didn’t impress us (like the Conrad in Shanghai and St Regis in Beijing) and so I cannot be bothered to make a video lol!
Waldorf Astoria, Beijing, China.
We stayed for 3 nights in May 2024. Service and room were excellent. Location is also right smack in Wangfujing and very near a train station and malls. The Chinese Restaurant was also excellent.

Aman Summer Palace, Beijing. Courtyard Room.

We stay a night at Aman Summer Palace, Beijing. We got upgraded to a Courtyard Room. The experience was amazing. The service is impeccable. Highly recommended. Stayed in early May 2024.
Four Points By Sheraton Phuket, Patong. 1 Bedroom Suites with and without Balcony.

Stayed in 2 different room. One suite with ocean view with balcony (with traffic noise lol!) and a smaller suite without balcony (no traffic noise!).

Spend 5 night there in July 2023 to celebrate my 50th Birthday. Best resort I ever stayed in Maldives and I have been to Maldives 13 times! It’s expensive but worth it, especially when your partner paid for it lol!

Umana Bali was re-launched under LXR Hotels and Resort on 22nd Nov 2023. We stayed here from 26th Nov 2023 to 29th Nov 2023 in the one bedroom sea view villa.
Looks like you had great weather! I’m thinking of going in July also (my first time) but hear it’s rainy season?
July is their low season. Price is lower but the sea is more choppy and you may get some rainy days. However, the villas in Waldorf are fabulous even to just hang out even on rainy days lol.
If it’s your first trip to Maldives, starting at Waldorf is like starting from right at the top lol. You will find it difficult to find another resort to match Waldorf for your next trip. Trust me, there will be a next trip and a next trip and another trip lol.
@@warrensee410 I ultimately want to try a Soneva because they are supposedly the nicest hotels over there, but I think it’s even more expensive than Waldorf. Not sure how often we’d return given how far it is to travel there (from Seattle), but I’m looking forward to going! Originally planned on December for the holidays but the prices are 3x!!! So looking into July instead. But choppy waters doesn’t sound ideal…
Sovena properties are wonderful too. You will have a great time. I am looking forward to try one of their properties in Maldives too.
