I just saw a video where a guy went from the trunk and just pulled some liners out and moved them over and just removed the top nut and left the retainer in. Didn’t have to go from underneath.

You can see the second the rotor starts turning that it is warped. Waste of time grinding. And your technique is awful.

Got brake dust? Spray it off with a water hose first or use brake cleaner. Your lungs will thank you.

What part did you use?

I am in disbelief that you disassembled the caliper because it wouldn’t turn back in. These aren’t designed to turn in, they push straight back (after being put in service mode or by retracting the parking brake motor). But turning the calipers on these civics can actually cause damage. Props to you though for willing to try this yourself, but I’m worried you may have replaced the caliper with the chance it may not have needed it

3:15 for the galled up jackscrew. This is awesome to see the rare failure modes on cars like this.

IMHO this happens because people activate the parking brake every time before turning off the car.

So I changed my breaks because the pads were wearing out, but once I changed them I get the messages that the brake system. I don’t know how to remove it 😢

Use a hammer instead of your hand to tap on the wrench to get your boats tighter it's easier on your hand and it works better just don't over tighten the bolt you will break it guaranteed

I did everything like you did , but when I try to push the wire was to HAARDDD!!! I think I need a SMALL screwdriver like yours.. I connected both shoes with the wire , I put the clamp and then I put the other shoe on the caliper and push back, then I put the adjuster(People have to be careful in how this part goes because I put in the wrong position before when I finish it and put the tire back ...I notice when I make the other side of the breaks....😧😧 and then I have to do again to fix the problem ( take a Picture in how goes before take off the adjuster from the shoes) ...thank you for show us how to fix it.

Grinding wheels suck, they just make a big mess. Flap discs are just so much better for basically everything. I'd only use the grinding wheel to get the chunky shit rust off and then use a flap.

This would work fine if this dude did 3 things differently. The rotors need to spin the tiniest bit faster to ensure the depth is slightly more even, the lug nuts should be on tight ish but not all the way torqued down; on its own the rotor won't sit perfectly straight. He's got the one on there but that won't hold it straight, just prevent it from flying off. Finally, PLEASE use a flap disk. The cutoff wheel is too aggressive and can cut really quickly in some places and not as quickly in others, mostly because he's pushing waaayyyy too hard.

need new Disks.. thou you can remove lip off disk when fitting new pads...with grinder..... as long as disk are in good condition .

Use a 60 grit flap disk. Did my rear and after a few years still works. For the fronts I would get a shop to do it properly.
