Still blown away by their acting skills, like they weren't acting. They gave it their all, fresh and seamlessly phenomenal. Exceptional. This was acting, not faking, feeling...never cried for a show this hard, except for Mr Sunshine.
Gotta disagree. Older Charlotte definitely did better in the more emotional moments than the actress playing Young Charlotte. Two moments in particular really stick out when her and George are lying in bed after their love confession Charlotte doesn’t look like she’s having a tender moment with her beloved she looks like she just agreed to babysit this man for the rest of her life and the scene where George kisses her at the Buckingham ball she’s supposed to be surprised and happy and breathless, but she kinda gave it away that she knew he was going to do that. So say Older Charlotte’s performance was a 10/10 Young Charlotte was a 9.
@@hydrokineticpowerhouse I agree to disagree. under the bed for both queens was moving for me. she had to be solid, the back bone, the grounding energy, to ease his panic and sense of derealization, she had to be strong to anchor him, and I felt her. emotion is not always spectacular. it moved me and many others. we are all always walking around with our own assumptions, thus our interpretations. and that's ok, that's the point of Art

@@hydrokineticpowerhouse I do, I think she was stellar, seamless, sensibly subtle, effortlessly imperial, classic with passion. her scene where she forces the king to admit he loves her is anthological, they both moved us all cause they were real.
@@ArdentePatience Eh there are pluses and minuses to that scene. In the book it was Charlotte at her most vulnerable but the show portrayed her as all strength and given what they were going for it was phenomenal especially the pacing, but I feel like it exposes more tender feelings if it went down the way it did in the book. But I wouldn’t have had a problem with that if the lying in bed scene after was more tender. Someone being all strength all the time snaps eventually that’s why the scene of her and Brimsley in the hallway is so good. But she should’ve actually had a crying scene with George. That’s why I think older Charlotte did better because from the second she walked into George’s room her heart was exposed. You could tell she was spending some of the last moments she’d have with the love of her life.

That sadness, when QC is always waiting in vain for the king to the other side of table every meal is the same feeling she gets whenever she asked if he's dead.
What I really love about this series is how the plot twist played out. At first it may seem like QC couldn't wait for her husband to die, like she couldn't careless bout him. but it turns out the very opposite was the truth. That Charlotte loved him enough even if he is half a person, half a husband. She was willing to be one who complete him, the one who protects him against all kingdom come even unreciprocatedly. And that's rare especially nowadays, you know, to spend the rest of a life with a person who couldn't always be on the ground and battles with you. Charlotte was strong enough to fight both their hurdles.
I was literally thinking the same thing the other day .Every time she asked in Bridgerton " is the King dead ? " I thought she wanted him gone but she is genuinely concerned for him and loves him .
also...she was a bit anxious about him dying before the lines of succession were secured
honestly i’d ask same question if my husband is having certain condition where death is to be expected. You always prepare yourself for that
