To the moron whining about the fire engines, 3 minutes is an excellent response. It takes time to move 3000 gallons of water. Also, the trucks have to request permission to drive on the runway.

I am a U.S. Air Force firefighter veteran. The fire services has to be able to get to any point on the airport in 3 minutes, or less. That's FAA rules.

The Fire Station is not right off the Runway. They also need clearance from the Tower beforethey roll onto TaxiwaYs & Runways, most importantly, they're hauling 20,000 gallons of water & Foam. You cant go 75 mph

You obviously have NO, NONE, ZERO experience with true emergencies. I congratulate you on never having to deal with real life. Sitting in your lazyboy sipping your wine while someone massages your feet, watching a hollywood made movie which is the closest thing to reality you will ever come. 3 MINS RESPONSE TIME OMFG that was incredible. From just hanging around the fire station to getting fully geared up, getting into the truck, starting them up, getting communication with the tower to request permission to enter the runway and being given directions for the safest route to travel to arriving on scene and water on the fire in UNDER 5 mins!!!!!! In WHAT reality is that SLOW????? I hope you read the comments by most in this thread and realize what a "dumb ass" you really are. The ONLY thing that should appear on the News is YOUR IDENTIY and your moronic comments. IMPO wow!!!! Well done to the Airport Fire Department for an incredible response time and getting water on that fire so quickly
