Yes, heavy armor slows you down. But I think it's only the legs (running) and the arms (weapon handling). So go medium legs and arms for movement with heavy core and helmet for more protection and support for bigger heavy backpacks.

The best when using a mouse for space combat is you can use gimbal mode and it's pretty much point and shoot like a FPS shooter.

With all Deadbolts on it has more firepower in 3.23 than the newer F7C MkII with all Deadbolts.

ive been waiting to get a stick for hosam but ive been using this unique mouse to split the difference, between the binary keyboard input and the stick. I HIGHLY reccomend it, its called the Swiftpoint Z. Super customizeable, tons of extra buttons where you can actually use them, unlike cheaper mouses that just have a literal keypad on the side, pressure sensitive buttons (light press vs hard press) all around, gyroscope with plates underneath so you can set flight controls to tilting the mouse side to side and front to back. Software is super powerful, like i said highly reccomend Its been a while since i played SC but i think i used the side to side tilt feature for roll control, and the knuckle buttons for chaff/flares along with other things, its been a minute, but i think that side to side tilt feature would help alot in getting that last intuitive axis of movement control. Binding roll to the mouse so you can free it from the stick and have up/down bound to a analog input instead of binary that way you have complete analog control over the ship, plus many many more keybindings for the mouse

I'm starting, and for now it feels horrible... It happens a lot that the enemy crash with me, almost sounds they are doing suicide runs against me :D but maybe I'm the one to blame because I tend to leave my cursor where they are heading to fire at them and it will eventually lead to a collision xD

i'm using joystick twist for vertical strafe. keeping a constant partial twist when flying in atmosphere is challenging because your hand has other jobs to do than the twist. is there any trick here? get rid of the twist and go pedals for vertical strafe?

Bruh thank you for this I had tonssss of dogfights in elite dangerous and power management is crucial you always want shields first so we would do 3 to shields 2 to weapons then boost but with star citizen it’s shields and momentum first then weapons when you are gonna destroy a mofo Correction boost over shields

Tried this for the first time in arena commander tonight and it's DEFINITELY the way to go It's the most intuitive it's felt to fly yet; I"m using the same X52 setup as well

The problem with the mouse for me is that its not as intuitive to move. You have to drag mouse further to move faster. It's a lot more movement than with the joystick. I can see though how aiming to shoot might be better on mouse.. it's a shame we dont have 3 arms! For many reasons! :D
