I think before embarking on surgery a pheocheomocytoma must be excluded. A small pancreatic duct is a high risk for fistula. So a less experienced surgeon should perform pan-gastrostomy. If a pre-op CT scan is done, shouldn't it be a non contrast scan? Because contrast hinders the RAI study postoperatively if necessary?
