SHABBA RANKS is the KING of Dancehall Music
Shabba Ranks, born Rexton Rawlston Fernando Gordon on January 17, 1966, is a Jamaican dancehall musician who gained international fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is known for pioneering dancehall's fusion with hip-hop and reggae. His most famous tracks include "Mr. Loverman" and "Ting-A-Ling." Ranks won two Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album in 1992 and 1993. Despite his success, his career faced controversy due to homophobic remarks, though he later apologized for them.
