Clearly none of these people have a first-hand witness of the excruciating pain pediatric cancer treatments cars. The survival rate of pediatric cancers are some of the lowest of any illness. Children with pediatric cancer have a very small chance overall of surviving. While children are on earth they deserve not to suffer so badly. It would be different if cancer treatments were actually approved for most forms of pediatric cancer. With less than 4% of federal funding going to pediatric cancer research there is very little treatment options and the ones they have have been for several decades. Tylenol steroids and ibuprofen including ketoralac intravenously Do absolutely nothing for cancer induced or cancer treatment induced pain that’s like offering a child who is vomiting up so badly that they can’t even keep their feeding tube down a glass of water. Surgery is it’s own entity. I have found only a couple stories of children who are surviving pediatric cancer. There’s a long valiant fight for a few years and then they die. Some children like one I love dearly make the choice to scream and beg to stop the treatment because of the pain. No child should suffer especially children he will never get to grow up and never get a live a life of their own. While they are on this earth they deserve whatever they need to stay comfortable. As soon as somebody is able to present a case while following privacy laws and such where a child was managed properly with pain and survive and had a great outcome these people need to shut right on down. Opioid pain relief is completely reasonable for children with cancer. Yes in that case a blanket statement is valid. By the way leukemia is excruciating if you need proof of that go walk in a child’s room and hear them screaming while they get their infusions. This panel needs some serious help.
