Double Dragon iOS Special Edition Jimmy Longplay
(Game played on Normal)
So, I finally got around to uploading another play through of this game using a gamepad instead of touchscreen controls.
The reason is labeled "Special Edition" is because I modded the game to completely remove the touchscreen buttons so that you don't have to worry about them being in the way and moving around since you're using a gamepad (via blutrol) to control the game.
If anyone wants a tutorial on how to do this for themselves, don't hesitate to ask in the comments and I may make a pinned comment.
Also if anybody wants to run either this or Double Dragon Zeebo with me on 2 players, hit me up as I actually found a way to get both of these working via parsec. All you'd need on your side is a decent internet connection and gamepad.

Vision Glitch Explanation

This video is for United Front Games and Disney to get an idea as to what causes Vision to glitch and make most of his attacks ineffective. It happens whenever Vision is hit out of his rolling attack (pressing attack after dodging). Counter can activate the glitch as well as a normal hit. Counter does it about 75 - 80% of the time, where as a normal hit seems to do it every time.

Really hoping that Marvel Battlegrounds can get this and a few balance issues (like infinites and stun durations) patched! This is a REALLY fun game that has a lot of potential!

Combo tapers off at the end because I'm doing it with a controller in one hand and holding block with the controller in the other hand. That's also why it gets countered at the end, because if your timing is even a little off, snap counter happens.

No, Not yet. No iOS emulator and the android version doesn't work due to needing a server check from a server that doesn't exist anymore
@@Rockmankb thanks for the respond sad but Zeebo version have appear recently playable on pc so maybe one day who know.
@@soborkid I really hope so! My only fear/issue is it’s gonna be a pain to get the wireless multiplayer working via emulation on pc, but we’ll get there eventually!

I do, actually! I’ll get in touch with him and see if he would have the time to look at it, or if there’s a way he can fix it from afar. I hope there’s something you can do from far away, otherwise the only way to get it fixed is to send it to him and he’s in Brazil! If you have to send it, I can personally vouch for him as he’s a close friend and it would be in good hands. Either way, if I get in touch with him I will update you here

Also, you said this is the one last one you haven’t played, I’m guessing you hooked up with Derek while he had my Zeebo and got some DDZ games in? Or did you find another way to play? Just curious since there’s not that many DDZ owners (actually none in the US, besides a friend of mine who I got one for) out there, and if you haven’t we could parsec that one as well, but I need a replacement for my old retrotink since it finally died and I have no way of getting a composite signal to my PC without it. Setting it up for parsec play would probably be the kick in the ass I need to finally go get a replacement lol.

I'm a big double dragon fan and I'd like to try this too. Do you think you could help? Also, can the game be played with 2 players locally, meaning on the same computer?
Unfortunately, No. You can only play it via an actual ios device. At the moment the iphone touch 4g is the cheapest device you can grab that you can still hack to make work with the game. You also need 2 devices if you want to play 2 players locally. There's a few other hoops you have to jump through as well if you're trying to use a control pad as well. You used to be able to play it on PC via the android version using Bluestacks, but the android version no longer works as the app needed to download data from a server to launch and the servers have died a long time ago. Also, even if you have the data files, it still wont launch since you need something from the servers that we can't figure out. Also the android version was only 1 player =(. Anyways, that's the only way you can still play this great game. Just glad it's not lost to time.

Watching all of yall was my childhood. Damn shame that the 2D games died . Even overworked at 25 I can't keep myself from playing on the odd occasion.
Yeah, every so often we still spark it up and get some matches in. Such a dope game and engine, it's a shame we never got any more than there, but just getting what we got was amazing in and of itself!

I miss playing this game on my iPhone! I bought it from the App Store in 2013 on my iPhone 4. As of today, I have an iPhone 12 and I cannot play that game on my current phone.
