Hi it’s survived all the storms in the UK so far, we just had the 4th storm, Darragh. We have put one of the Bananna plants in to overwinter, but not growing any winter crops at the moment. We drive one of the family cars, we take our UK license, I think it’s good for 1 month or 3months. Driving a car is ok but you have to be careful for the motorcycle riders as they will take crazy chances weaving through traffic.

Hello, we always get picked up by family so not sure of the price, but I would guess 300 peso. Taxis in Davao are very honest and always use the meter, unlike Manila or some other parts where some drivers will try to rip you off. Taxi drivers don’t always have change to split 1000 bills though. We have used taxis to get around the city for the last 15 years on vacations and never had any problems and found them cheap and reliable. I’m sure you will have a great time!, check out MTS which 2 minutes walk and has some great restaurants and live music bars. There is a 7-11 1 minute from the hotel also and a good coffee shop called black scoop 2 mins walk as well as Chengis Turkish restaurant excellent food.

Bankerohan market is about a 10 minute walk on McCarthur highway, we have walked it a few times but usually early morning before it’s gets hot, we usually get a taxi or jeepney back if we bought some fruits.

Hi 👋 it’s about 25 minutes from the airport depending on traffic, yes it’s easy to get to other parts of the city, it’s 1 minute walk to McCarthur highway which is a main route into town, you can very easily catch jeepney or taxi there in front of the shell garage and is about 10-15 min ride to San Pedro Cathedral, Peoples Park and Roxas night market.

I’m sure you will have a great time! We went at the of March and the weather was great plenty warm enough for sunbathing and the beach, but the sea and swimming pool were a little chilly. We really liked the hotel and will visit again at some point. I recommend the Mojito from the bar, they were included in the all inclusive and were delicious!

Hi, yes WiFi was free. Activities depends what your into, I recommend visiting Side Antik the part of the town with spectacular Roman ruins, there is a bus stop 1 min from hotel, also Manavgat waterfalls which can also be reached on the bus, but you need to take 2 buses 🚌. There are water activities at the beach if you into that, also animation team at hotel with Zumba, darts, air rifle ect. The market in Side is also good to explore. There are tons of trips they will offer you we didn’t do any as we prefer to explore on our own schedule. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Side is VERY hot in the summer, I’d recommend going slightly off season, ask google!

Hi we lived in the Oddfellows on Whalley rd, like a lot of pubs it’s gone now, converted into houses. Yeah I loved Peppermint place and Suttys coconut grove had some epic nights out in Blackburn.

@@Robbo8ball ah yes sadly no longer a pub as you say, the Lamb was further down as well. Coconut grove was brilliant as well. My wife told a story about going to sutty’s back in the day with her friend. She went to the toilet, pushed the door of one of the cubicles open and a woman was sat there eating pie & peas.

So amI .Born in Witton,in a terraced house.Lived in the Blackburn area all my life.Seen a lot of changes ,some good some not so good. Progress can't be held back but it comes with resposibility.Sadly a lot of buildings have disappeared ,some needed to be demolished but lots of others should have been saved and repurposed for other uses. One memory is walking from Witton to the town centre and having the putrid stench of the glue factory off King St. hitting my nose until getting to Hornby House, but not as bad as the drains around Fore St. in Lower Darwen which was a pungent stink too. The Blakewater used to change colour as it passed through Witton from all the factories that used to dump their waste into it upstream in the town. One day it was bright orange ,the next it would be a dark purple.
