Thanks for uploading this material, These Outtakes where all in preparation for the Beatles agreed breakup so they could go in their own musical directions and also have some semblance of private lives with wives and children, I remember that the media made such a big deal about the breakup at the time. However we still had many great years of there music.

I wish to hell they'd recorded "Madman." It apparently morphed into "Mean Mr. Mustard," but they're really quite different songs with a certainly melodic resemblance and only a vague lyrical resemblance.

They had such a backlog. So sad they couldn’t have released even more often to get all of these out and kept the feelings more harmonious…like those on All Things Must pass.

I am a long time Beatles fan but waxing so poetic about this collection of might-have-been songs is crazy. Interesting to see how they worked on song ideas but for the most part it’s just them fooling around and not too spectacular imho.

The Palace of the King of the Birds: I can hear Jerry Garcia licks, that San Francisco sound. They were struggling to breakout of the Beatles sound, transitioning. Thanks for putting this together. Really interesting.

Back Seat of My Car sounds like a dedication to Brian Wilson's breakthrough work, like Pet Sounds.

I keep hearing the Grateful Dead in these songs. Plucky strings, drifting bass lines, the drums following the lead guitar. Kind of hippie music.

Let It Pea was followed by Give Peas a Chance.

George was nearest to having ready songs but that's not surprising as his backlog of songs was one of the reasons from the breakup. On 9/8/1969 John proposed giving George an equal number of tracks but Paul rejected the idea, along with rejecting separate songwriting credits for himself and John. That, alone with Klein, was the fatal moment.

You forget George Martin He was another Beatle, that knew music and the biz (behind the corporate veil, the shield) They bailed couldnt or wouldn’t sustain or bow down to the hits on demands of success or over success or feed on demand media and or audiences

Georges Not Guilty was great as recorded by the Beatles and should have made it on one of the albums, the version that came out around 80 was watered down and didn't rock like the anthology version.

All of these songs would’ve been so much better had they been recorded with the Beatles instead of as solo works. As solo songs they’re all great but they’re lacking in some way. They miss that Beatle collaboration factor. Hindsight is 20/20
