Are you going to any wrestling clinics in the off-season? My grandson, who is the Ohio High School Division 3 wrestling champion for the 106 weight class has. Attending wrestling clinics offered by Ohio college wrestling programs taught him wrestling techniques that helped him become a state champion.
@@Keeganwrestling You are doing a wise thing because this is what separates champion wrestlers from other wrestlers-- that is, champion wrestlers train year-round. The Ohio State Fair has a wrestling tournament that you should consider entering. My grandson won his weight division there last year, which helped him prepare for his state championship wrestling season. My grandson is the 2024 Ohio High School Division 3 boys wrestling champion for the 106 weight class. He wrestles for Columbia High School in Columbia Station, Ohio. I'm a Sunbury Big Walnut High School Graduate, so I am interested in Big Walnut wrestling since Big Walnut didn't have wrestling when I went there.
@@Keeganwrestling Good for you! Good luck at the Ohio State Fair Wrestling Tournament! It will definitely help you prepare for the next wrestling season.
I wrestled the entirety highschool and went to state and i recommend working on a combo you can go to. YOu should have been more aggressive and on top you seemed sloppy, but to fix that you should learn a set up, take down, and pinning combination that works for you in practice and take that to the mat which will come with time, also you that shot you took was really predictable and far away from him and he definitely should have down blocked, any high level wrestler that would not have worked especially how your arms came up too, so id say you should definitely work on your set up, something like a elbow pass or a arm post. But great job though man wrestling is not a easy sport, i hope you find great success in it
Life is about competition. You are doing a good thing by learning to compete and developing a winning attitude and mindset. You don't have to finish first to be successful in life, but you do have to learn how to compete hard and try your best. Remember, "hustle beats talent when talent doesn't hustle." When you are up, don't let up. When you are behind, don't give up. The stronger opponent and the person with the most talent or skill don't always win. What really matters is persistence. As Calvin Coolidge said, "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." Good luck preparing for next wrestling season from a Sunbury Big Walnut High School alumnus.
Congratulations from a Big Walnut Golden Eagles graduate. My grandson is the 2024 Division 3 Ohio State High School wrestling champion for the 106 weight class. Back when I graduated from Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, Ohio from 1972 to 1974, Big Walnut did not have a varsity high school wrestling program. I'm glad to see that Big Walnut has one now.
