god toolmaking is such a boring trade
A toolmaker is a crucial role to any manufacturing or engineering organisation. They undertake complex and specialist detailed work of manufacturing and maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies that affect all of our daily lives. This could be for travel (such as cars, planes, boats and rail), energy, defence, food, clothing, packaging and health including medical equipment, devices and implants such as joint replacements. This is an exciting job that requires the application of a broad range of activities including the interpretation of engineering drawings and technical instructions and the use of hand, machine and automated computer controlled machine tools and measuring equipment. If you require further information on any of our apprenticeships or courses, visit: amrctraining.pcin.co.uk/request-information
Oh yes, a TV presenter of a daytime lunch filler programme, that is the goal of apprenticeship engineer programmes - LOL! Oh sorry, she does a lot of work encouraging working class kids to achieve what she has achieved as a talented engineering scholar? She certainly pats herself on the back enough times, in fact, every time I have flicked over to watch her show, she is on about how great she has done considering her working class background. Yes, I totally agree that working class children's life opportunities are limited compared to those of a middle-class background - totally immoral and depressing; yet what Steph fails to acknowledge is the emotionally secure and loving background she came from, which, guess what, some middle-class kids do not have i.e. some are abused/neglected. On a Xmas episode I heard the smug Steph saying about her parents still decorating their Xmas tree with things she had made as a child; well guess what Steph, you are emotionally privileged beyond belief. You r so busy showing off about about successful you have become despite your working class background, that you have failed (or chosen) to take account of the emotionally privileged background you grew up with and still have. Guess what, if you had not had that emotionally privileged support from your parents, u would not be where u r today, whether from a working or middle-class background.
