It is quite easy actually; This is a Phoenix simulation - liquid simulation for the water level and waves (liquid/mesh rendering V-Ray Phoenix). Then the Voxel tuner is used to get the underwater fog for the volume under the water level: docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4MAX/Voxel+Shader Basically this will give you the water volume with the reflections and the underwater volume with the fog. The other things that will enhance the results are another render pass of particles - added on post; Caustics to get the Godrays effect also done in a separate render (because it will be too slow for rendering this together with the Liquid and Fog) And finally the final thing is the extruded line at the very front view to get the ' bolded' effect of the liquid level.

So I have something similar to this and the stereo part is broken but I was wondering if I could possibly hook it up to a 2 channel receiver or would it blow out the speaker (I know it depends on the model)

This is basically the RX99 my friend...they have different model names in the north american models. It all loosk the same inside from 1996 to 1999. Inside its all the same. The only difference was 1998 started the HOP woofer...and they for some reason decreased the screen size from 1997 models! But the DJ mix gear remains the same until 1999.
