"Keeping America's Music alive in the hearts of Americans where it was born"
The Rivertown Bluegrass Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of traditional Bluegrass music. Monthly concerts are held in the Burroughs and Chapin Auditorium at the Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Conway, SC, and when possible are streamed live on this site. In addition, most past videos and concert recordings are also archived here.
The December 14, 2019 concert was the final show for the Rivertown Bluegrass Society. Fans of bluegrass music were invited to come hear this last concert for FREE at the Burroughs and Chapin Auditorium on the campus of Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
The first show featured the local favorite Aynortown Bluegrass Band, with guest artists sitting in. After a dinner break the Flatland Express band was featured in part 2.

Clinch Mountain Backstep - The Hinson Girls
Another great highlight from a past Rivertown Bluegrass Society concert... The Clinch Mountain Backstep, as performed by The Hinson Girls, originally streamed live on August 13, 2016. It is perhaps Ralph Stanley’s most well known instrumental tune.
About The Hinson Girls:
The Hinson Girls are four harmonious sisters from Lancaster, SC who have been performing bluegrass music together since 2009. Their love and natural talent for music not only binds them as a family, but has opened many doors for them as a band.
In February 2015, the Hinson’s won 4th place at the 41st Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass Band Competition held in Nashville, TN. Later that year, the band won 1st place at the Anderson Co. Halloween Boograss Bash band competition. Back in 2012, they won 1st place at the SC Bluegrass Band Championship held at the Renofest Bluegrass Festival in Hartsville, SC.
The Hinson Girls have released three cd projects and perform over 100 dates a year all over the country. The records are available on the website and the newest one, A LIFE THAT’S GOOD, has just been released to radio this week on AirPlay Direct.
The girls are looking forward to performing bluegrass music for many years to come and encourage other young fans to enjoy and learn to play.

GREATEST. BLUEGRASS. BAND. I. HAVE. EVER. HAD. THE. PRIVELAGE. TO. SEE. !!
Skvělé !!! Koukám, že tahle skladba je hodně náročná na čouky. Před těmito dámamy smekám svůj country klobouk.
Hi kathy 😊
Played wonderfull and sound is great. But filming these girls without their (pretty) heads is awfull.
Good job fellas. Y’all still playing?
Never seen a video with cut off heads. Completely tasteless. And the heads are relly not that bad to see 🙂. And lovely music they a make anyway.
Best music keep it going
Awesome! Killer Mando, Dobro, Banjo solos - totally solid!
Such an awesome band! Thank you all for making my evening a great one
Great music! Love the dobro! Appreciated the prayer!
Stop talkin and let em pick ! ( Prayer excepted)
Well the old MAN sure is right you all is real good. Might fine picking and a singing. THANK YOU ALL M.P.
Yeehaaa! I'm really loving this! Sitting here editing some manuscripts and just letting UA-cam play! I have videos of Charlie Sizemore, Terry Smith, and Tom Swatzell on my channel.
Awesome sound !!!!
Dude can rip on the Banjo. Second song def sounds like Lost and Found. Good job fellas
Great Sound and harmonies .. But where is the bass player ? ;)
The young man seated behind the front row is the bass player. You can tell he has an electric bass by having only 4 tuning pegs on his instrument!
Fine music … bravo 👏
The Legends and Hall of famers would be proud of Hinson Girls. Thank you for the show ladies.
beatifull saludos al bluegrass desde Chile.. octava region
12:25 anyone know the name of song?
At 12:25 The End of the Road Band is just finishing their cover of J D Crowe's "You Can Be A Millionaire With Me"... Is that the point in the show you're asking about?
Love, love, love that bluegrass music is clearly alive and well unto the next generation!

These girls are so good do they still make music?? I saw this said 2016
They have an active Facebook page: facebook.com/4HinsonGirls/ and e-mail at thehinsongirls@comporium.net We imagine like most live music groups they have done few or no concerts since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hope that will change soon!
Yes! Video sort-of. Sound, A+
May I please nominate the people who worked on the sound for this for a PULITZER PRICE FOR FRIGGIN SOUND!
Thank you! Most of the credit goes to the Hinson Girls' Dad who supplied and ran the sound system for this particular concert. For our UA-cam stream we also add a couple more mics for audience reaction and hall ambience.
Love bluegrass I would love to see u all
Love to hear yall! Great Job! We love you!
That was a Great Show Thanks
🎶🙏🏽
Can’t wait to check out some of your other videos! I really think that you deserve more views. Have you ever heard of smzeus . c o m??? If I was you I’d use it to help grow your channel!!

Love this band. I’ve been following them since they were children! Great musicians, wonderful harmonies
The Hinson Girls is a Amazing Bluegrass female singers i just love them, all tracks are stunning! 14:07/14:08 -17:15 is Everytime We Say Goodbye
As a lover of bluegrass, country, and "truck driver" music, I was glad to listen to these songs. Well done but I could well include a skilled violinist as well. An advice to the girls: Put a microphone to the contrabass corpus. One out of the gentlemen is a good singer -- sorry to say, none of the ladies is.
Great job !
Love it and we love you!
another Great Show Thanks
Loved that...!
I'm brazillian... I love bluegrass and I also loved to listen this song about God, Jesus, pray, etc.
Exceptional
Very fun!
