Also! My theory about this blanket is that it is the intricacy and level of detail that makes it hard. That also makes it gorgeous and a work of art and highly satisfying to complete, but its definitely something that takes a LOT of brain power. Every time I finish a part I feel like I need to take deep breaths for a while lol. But, yeah its not that its the pattern's fault or the creator's fault, its just that its a lot of details!

Sleep is often the hardest part about traveling with a toddler or baby. And such a big time change too! Poor Ava! I hope you're able to get everything back on an even keel schedule wise this week. I hope all the packing and moving prep goes well these next couple of weeks. You're almost over the worst of it! Hang in there! Getting everything moved is usually the most stressful part for me. Once it's all in the new place there is still all the sorting and organizing to do, but I feel much less 🤯 and there isn't that strict "moving day" deadline looming. I hope you're able to squeeze in some little breathing room breaks with tea/knitting/books/whatever helps your brain shut off for a few minutes! ❤️❤️❤️

I loved hearing all about the books, Audrey! I think we have pretty similar reading tastes so I am going to see if I can find a Courtney Walsh book to try. If you like older/vintage style books, D. E. Stevenson and Betty Neels are two authors I have been really enjoying recently. Also, if you like cozy golden age murder mysteries and haven't read and of the Miss Silver series by Patricia Wentworth I HIGHLY recommend them!! They are such wholesome, cozy stories and Miss Silver, the amateur sleuth, is always knitting which is such fun to read about. Your blanket is turning out beautifully! ❤❤

I agree, I don't like swearing in books, I find if there's swearing in the first chapter it carries through the whole book. Don't mind the odd bit of steam here and there but it never needs to be a huge part of any story!. Currently on the second last book of the Throne of Glass series and thankful it has minimal steam. But absolutely no idea what to read next.

I’m with you on the no steam and minimal swearing in books. So unnecessary! I agree it is lazy. I always think “people really talk like this? F bombs constantly?” because my circle of family and friends do not. But I guess people do. Anyway I’ve been having a hard time getting into books lately and I am a hard core reader. I don’t like romance but I’m reading The One with the Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel, supposed to be steam free and so far it is.

I am so happy fall is here. October is my favorite month!!! I am currently knitting a pair of socks in orange and purple for Halloween. I use a size 1 needle, ether 9 inch circular or dpns to do my socks. Sounds like your yarn was a really large fingering.

My Dollar tree still stocks the Just Cotton. If you enjoy it, Premier home cotton is the same makeup of fibers and has even more colors.

I never knew vacuum sealing could damage yarn. My mom has always vacuum sealed all the crocheted blankets my grandma and aunt made. They are acrylic, though, and I don’t think it damages acrylic only natural fibers. Do you have any of the travel tote bags? I’ve started using those instead of the plastic tote containers because I can get more to fit. I have some that you can carry as a backpack and regular ones with just the handles. I use them for markets too and I can fit a lot more plushies in them without having to smash them like when I used totes.

Wow so much yarn, I love it, have you ever considered caking your yarn? I’ve actually vacuumed sealed my yarn for a good month, 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶 I live in Tucson, Arizona, but I will be traveling up to Prescott soon. If you happen not to sell any of your yarn I will consider buying it off you I crochet during the winters for children that don’t have blankets or beanies or gloves or socks, and donate them to families. Anything will help

PS I put the wool in good paper bags so it didn’t sweat.

In the last three years I have moved from Pa to Sc and from Sc back to Pa 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I have packed up my yarn stash. I use Rubbermaid totes and zip lock bags and paper bags placing the yarn in bags in the container. I also used natural oil soaps like lavender oil…SC is buggy and I was worried about moths. I also used a lot of those “dry packets” (the little white ones with beads) due to humidity. Sc is very humid. With all of this said I am very glad I kept my yarn and it all came out perfect no issues ❤

Hi Audrey!! I was so glad to see this video pop up in my feed. I've been thinking about and praying for you a good bit these last couple of weeks. I had a suspicion a move was happening and goodness me... Moving can be so incredibly stressful!! Especially a cross country move! I was hoping you might be coming to the KY area, but a place with lots of sand sounds pretty fun too 😁 I'm really glad you were able to decide to slow down on the markets. Husbands are so amazing for confirming what we didn't know we wanted. 🤭I'll ask my husband stuff like that all the time. I love your blanket project and the little sweater for Ava is adorable! It's making me want to knit up a couple simple raglan sweaters in 100% acrylic for my toddler to have as fun play sweaters. I'm so excited for you in this next stage of life. Hang in there while everything is crazy and up in the air!! I know how tough that can be. And much as I would love to see a new video from you every week on just about any topic (yarn closet overhaul, more knitting project, yarn destash, moving prep vlogs, day in the life vlogs, etc.) don't feel too pressured to keep making content! I’m so excited for you guys but also kind of jealous, lol! I’ve never been to that state and I’d love to go…hopefully, someday. The break from 110’s really does make a huge difference! I’ve been opening up our doors to let the fresh air in. We need to get together again soon! I have a pop up market this Saturday and then nothing for a couple of weeks. since I’ve been following you, you’ve been such an amazing mama and being able to handle all your stress especially when it comes to marketing. You did such an amazing job ups and downs, but you never let it get to you, I could see it as a YouTub follower. you will most definitely will be missed in Arizona, but not missing the heat lol, if I take a guess, I’d say you’re either moving to Florida i’ve always wanted to learn how to knit I heard it’s very meditating and very therapeutical. I cannot wait to see other knitting projects that come along. When I crocheted my daughter her wedding dress I knew that if I worked on it too much at a time I would put it down for a few days and wouldn't finish it. I worked out that if I did a smaller amount a day I would be able to finish it in plenty of time. I had to stop myself from doing more rows, I was enjoying it so much, but I knew that I had to pace myself properly or I would start looking for excuses not to do it. I did finish it, had plenty of time to adjust it a little and to add a few embellishments and proudly saw her walking down the aisle in it.

I just came to say that you have truly inspired me to stitch with crocheting and vending at markets. My daughter is 18 months now and my son will be here any day now, I definitely don’t have as much time to crochet as I used to and was thinking of just not doing markers anymore. But you have inspired me to keep going and I found a way to balance both the mom life and the crochet life. Also I don’t knit or know anything about knitting but I would still watch your knitting podcast ❤

To avoid gathered join-as-you-go finish on your bag you'll have to steam it with your iron. Don't press, just steam it and block it with your hands. Use the same method to block your knitted hats, it will get more professional appearance. Love your vlogs, binge watching it!

I’ve been anxious like that my whole life. I also do crochet and markets and have a 3 year old. It’s gotten worse since I’ve had her lol
