Mazda RX8 - Part 1 Revitalization
Welcome back to Random Dudes workshop.
Today we start a project car series to the Mazda RX8 which has very very bad reputation amongst almost everyone. So come on this journey with me and hopefully I can change your mind.
The RX8 and the Renesis rotary are not the most highly sought after but given proper care and someone who has the knowledge it should be a fun car with plenty of parts still being made.
Thanks to Matt Ritman for the video on how the rotary works. Link provided below

Welcome back to RandomDude Workshop, Today we are going to be exploring the Atomstack a24 pro. I approach the review from a complete beginner standpoint. I have never used a laser diode CNC machine and have only my online research to aid me. This video covers the setup of the machine, the use of the software Lightburn as a complete noob. And any of the gosh-darn-its that I found as someone who ...

Bambu Lab - To P1P or not To P1P
Переглядів 8 тис.Рік тому
Welcome back to the Channel and thanks for joining. Today I am looking at the Bambu Lab P1P Printer. I consider this a mid-tier printer in pricing and a top-tier printer in value, especially when compared with the competition, Creality, and what they are putting forth for similar money. As I like to state I am not a 3D printing professional in any manner and just a standard guy that utilizes th...

Can you home the laser in light burn?
@@RandomDudeWorkshop I did still noting so I sent it back to the company waiting on my refund now
@@BrendaDavis-1963 not sure how much experience you have. Lightburn has a huge learning curve. Glad you are getting taken care of though. Took me a few hours to really get anywhere.
Do you sell the mount?
Sorry I am not great about checking in between video releases for comments. I do not sell the mount. This video or another in the series has links to the 3d print file should you know someone. If not then I could be persuaded to manufacture one for you and ship it.
you may regret the short tongue. Likely your going to damage your tow vehicle when backing up, and the trailer will be very twitchy when backing up. For the want of one more crossmember.
Thanks for your concern. However, 3 inches will not make or break the driving dynamics of the trailer. And if it does I will be the first to come back on here and say you were right
Wow this is neat
Nice looking shop!
It sure is!
I phrchased this and the ferret two days ago. So far the Ferret has outperformed the Raptor in every way. 🥲
Raptor so far seems to be overly complicated and has a lot of great ideas but not a main stream easy to use device as of yet. Still playing around with it.
I own both the Raptor and the otter 3d scanners and I have to say the Raptor is just mind blowing! Mind you I have been a professional 3D modeller for nearly 25 years. Please look up the your channel “Payo”. You really want to 3d print tracking marker towers with neodymium magnets in the base.
Good looking welds. Very nice work. Excited to see this play out!
You and me both!
This is dope. I run one of these at work. It’s bigger. Along with cnc routers.
What’s up lane! I used to work with you at bowman. I gave ya a subscribe
Thanks for the add. Hooo, Bowman that was some time ago. Lots of fun though
Really looking forward to seeing this progress. I think the 10x6x4 was a great choice.
Thanks. I am looking forward to building it. Still looking at best course for attaching wooden frame to the trailer but all in due time. I really liked how you did the doors out of the plywood so I will be doing a similar setup
@@RandomDudeWorkshop I wish I could take credit for that. That was all Brigham. That is his trailer. Crazy now, he has a job building and designing trailers professionallly for Bean Trailer.
@@PlayingwithSticks yeah he did a great job with it. I can appreciate all the work and thought that goes into practical design.
I'm going to enjoy this one
Nice wifey!
Very nice progress so far!
Dude. The music!
oh goodness... A constant comment. But hey do i just leave it empty with no music?
Get rid of the 70's porn music 🎶
yeah you are probably right... Feels so empty with no music though...
What do you think this weighs before decking frame only?
roughly, ummm probably around 1200 - 1400 lbs. Me and 3 buddies picked it up to move horizontally for some reason...
My problem is the firmware and drivers. I go to the ATOMstack website and try to install them only for Windows to tell me it's malware. Super sketch.
Oh boy,that thing looks awesome.

I learn so much watching random dude.
Glad to hear it!
loose the music
So, you went to all that trouble to do it "right" and then you don't use the correct McLane yellow? How pathetic is that?
couldn't find anything that listed the correct color and the yellow I used is pretty close with a spray test. thanks for your thoughts
been needing this! finally!
Ever finish it
yeah, I did finish it, however I forgot to record the rest of the process. You can see part of it being done with my intro/channel trailer video. I should get some pictures on here of it being finished
This man toasts
Was not expecting a Random dude random toaster video.
Ive been waiting for this for weeks.
Oh man that was a fine looking toaster may it RIP.The new one is nice though. Thanks Random Dude for the excellent toaster video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Neat. You are a very very fast welder. I probably weld 8 times slower than this.
Thanks 👍
What'd you do to protect the floor from the feet? Just add off cuts as caps?
Hey, thanks for watching. I included the feet I used in the description of the video. The items I welded to the legs are just the threads for the adjustable feet to go in and out of. The feet themselves have a replaceable felt pad to protect surfaces
Siiick!!
That wind looks a little scary with the spray paint 😬
This is really random and really cool
I’m random dudes biggest fan!
Wow thank you!
This is awesome. You are progressing nicely.
Thank you!
No way that trailer is 78" between the rails.
I would have to double check the initial measurements. But it was designed to haul atleast a jeep grand cherokee at 72" wide with a few inches to spare. But you are right, I should have shown a measurement of between the rails
@@RandomDudeWorkshop ... no worries! Nice job
great job but what I needed to see was the shroud going on...I just cant get it to seat with the bed knife...arrgh
Yeah, so the shroud is a little tricky, and depends on whether you have the new one or the old version. Mine has tabs that need to mount onto the bed knife that help it to locate.
@@RandomDudeWorkshop mine too. My Mclane is really a Garden Way from 1980!
@@sm1tty031 same manufacturer just under an alternative name much like sears and some others. I had to push mine really hard and also I had to rebend some of the slots to get it to fit again
So, did you ever finish the conversion? Is there a link?
I did finish the conversion. I got busy and was not able to record the final welding, painting, and wiring of the trailer. However, I do have some finished pictures that I could post if you would like those.
ua-cam.com/video/XV-Y3JMGFlk/v-deo.html
I want speed and functional parts. I'm used to sanding and using putty then painting my parts. So as long as layer adhesion is good, I'm happy. Its just insane for the speed out of the box, no upgrades.
yes for out of the box speeds this printer is very hard to beat. I did end up printing an enclosure and running some acrylic side panels to get consistent temps in my workspace
music is the worst.....
Thanks for the comment, will help me for future videos. Any helpful suggestions as to what I should use to fill the dead space?
Lol at least bettermusic
@@RandomDudeWorkshop Bro, I can help you. Made a few videos myself. Painting is relaxing to watch. Remember Bob Ross. So, your music should be soothing but upbeat, like lofi music. You could also stop in the middle and do a little explaining for people who don't understand what you're doing, and are looking for some guidance. You can lower the music and talk over it while it plays in the background. Some people (like the guy who commented) only know how to criticize others. They can't give feedback because they are talentless and don't know how to fix the issue.
@@sgtrickards5683 thanks for the instructive help. I like the ideas and am trying to implement that more in my current videos
@@RandomDudeWorkshop You do good work. I just finished painting a trailer yesterday. Used an A610 gun on a Fortress 29gal air compressor from Harbor Frieght. Turned out great. No problems. I used to paint fighter aircraft in the Air Force. I miss it.
Hello I have a similar trailer and I need some advice as I want to make it into a livestock trailer
Check the trailer tongue for rated weight because ultimately that will help you determine what size axles you have and what they are capable of.
Great review. I trust you with my life.
I have replaced my Prusas for these machines and till now (300 hours of printing) they work perfect and much faster.
Yeah the prusa has a great platform and the slicer is one of the best. However, this slicer by Bambu in it's infancy has so many of the included things such as wifi connectivity, link to camera(if equipped) built in multi filament support. I am interested to see how it progresses. Also interested to see if traditional companies like Prusa will release an affordable answer to the Bambu lab or if they will innovate another way.
@@RandomDudeWorkshop such a great system also with the AMS sometimes you need petg sometimes multicolor sometimes pla. Its very nice how it works and it just works. Support is also great with response times.
Everyone else just got sent to the Dinosaur graveyard.
@@borisbommen are they much louder than the prusas? i kinda wanna replace my mk3 but it has be able to print near my bed and work space
@@xIsouLcruSHca to be honest, I had more resonance with my prusas then bambulabs. But they are fast and can be loud. They have a slow mode (i believe still faster then prusas) and then they are much quieter. But in general they are not louder then a Prusa printer
Wait.. someone who wasn't given one for a review made a video about it Been looking at these printers myself. Just not sure yet. Thanks yt for bringing this to me. I didn't know out of the box the ender 5 was that slow. I'm disappointed that creality made a corexy and didn't push it more.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah now that you mention it I have watched a lot of other reviews and most of them were given the unit. Hope any information I gave you or insight was helpful. The creality I had originally while slow comparatively, was a good entry point . But the plug and play ability from the p1p is phenomenal. The corexy they had was a decent idea but the cost put most people off from it as they couldn't get the slicer to make it much faster without a large 3d printing background
Ender 5 is‘nt CoreXY
@@jostymon6958 going off the assumption that they were talking about the ender 7 that creality released, we both just forgot to mention that fact. Thanks for the clarification comment.
@@RandomDudeWorkshop I forgot the ender 5 isn't a true corexy. It does have a ridgid frame like a corexy which in theory an experienced 3d printer could tweak it alot for performance. The ender 7 looks decent if I had room for another printer I would try it out but I already have 8 printers, anymore and they got to go in the garage 😄
