In preparation for my upcoming departure to Japan I've decided to start my own travel-type show. For the debut episode I'll be going back in time to when I re-visited Hiroshima and Miyajima. This was one of my favorite moments from the Wes Anderson film, "Moonrise Kingdom". This is just a little movie I cut together featuring segments of Best Coast's in store performance at Fingerprints in Long Beach, California on Record Store Day 2013. Enjoy!

The title is about as descriptive as I need to get. As soon as he hears Paul Simon's, "Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard" he knows exactly what he's watching!

The final part of our local area exploration. This time we locate another shrine, which is occupied by a large grave site as well. As we navigate our way back home I recount a somewhat sad story that our neighbor told me about while making deliveries earlier in the day.

The second part of our town exploration. Picking up right where we left off at the post office we press onward. This time we talk about the running water underneath the town while managing to catch a glimpse of the koi that live outside many of the houses in this area. We also discuss the deal with narrow roads and eventually find a local shrine.

In this video we walk from our house and explore a few areas of interest in our neighborhood including the local grocery store, station, and post office.

This is by far the most fascinating thing I found in the arcade section of the big AEON that we go to once in a while. It was horse race simulator, pretty much designed to mimic gambling, if not just an outright form of gambling itself.
