The Jarbidge/Bruneau wilderness is absolutely beautiful. This is just a snipet of the copious amount of footage of this magical place.

Birthday powder!!! Happy birthday Jimmy!!
Dude needs to buy a lottery ticket after that run... He got lucky!
Speed is all yr lacking
💀 stay ◇ away 💀,,from jeff the ghost
super lucky! maybe a little too cocky after first flirt and getting sucked back up!! wow glad u made...
Chef’s kiss. Nailed every move and the oar work was money.
No widow if you are single.
Is that on the lower Owyhee below Rome?
Above Rome
Lucky bastard, that thing almost ate you and your gearboat...
Excellent footage along with fantastic music to go along with it. From being a class 5 open boater for many years back in the 90's I can definitely relate to your journey.
Is this Idaho?
Montana
Какой объем нужен минимальный для установки гусянки?
Nice!
Well, it just isn't as easy as some people seem to think. No matter what line you take there are pluses and minuses....a lot of things happen really fast, whether you take the left, the center or the right entry, and if you came down from duck valley you have 200 miles of gear to boot.
Rockstars! Great video. I did it self support in a kayak with other kayakers. Awesome experience!
Well that was exciting!
In the 70s there was nearly nobody in there. We were alone. He did better than we did.
I want this guy to take me down a river.
Not sure which I'm more worried about here, luck or judgement? Not the route, or speed, I would have chosen down there. No point spending 15-30 mins scoping if you let the river take you where it wants...
Could you please give some info on what section/sections of bull river thus is. And what month?
Why do people always start left? There seems to be an obvious line right down the middle that keeps momentum and speed through the rapid to hit the holes. There is enough current through there to keep you moving through everything as long as you tee up to it. You are gonna hit that center line either way... stopping in that swirly eddy above the the big rock just seems like it sets you up to hit the rock and the rest of the rapid with no momentum.
Not sure how you could fault this line. Technical AF and he nailed every move.
Yes but is there gold in that river?
The Owyhee river reminds me a lot of rivers in the SW especially the Rio Grande.
Did this with my 17 year old son in 2002 (?). Always kept the lower climber some horizontal distance away from the upper climber , because lose rocks did periodically tumble down. Lots of bush wacking down low. Progressively steeper higher up. Climb with all fours ledge to ledge for upper 500 to 700 feet. Much harder going down than going up. Legs shaking with exhaustion before getting all the way down. Advice - bring LOTS of water and electrolytes. Take rests regularly. Go on dry and low wind day if at all possible. View from summit is magical.
That was an excellent run! Poise, timing and patience were amazing. Hats off sir.
Good job on one gnarly sumbitch.
Maytag!
i couldve bodysurfed it. lame
Awesome run
Nice work! Patience, a bit of high-siding, wow!
Cool vid! I watched your run through Widow maker also which was a nice line. Are you rowing a Super Puma? Thanks.
Awesome run
That canyon is Beautiful.
Doesn't it get very hot wearing all the expedition gear on a desert river in SW Idaho? We hardly ever put on our life jackets on that river.
A class 3 rapid with class 5 music!
Damn.... imagine the early explorers going down this stuff in wooden boats. Did they scoot the Rapids before proceeding?
Quite a few 'features' down below for those who happen to bite it up top.... A little like Hell's Half Mile. Sweet run... it's all so 'calculated.'
Wow. Amazing run. Great skill and equipment
Quite skilled
Adding the music was REALLY DUMB. Tacky, tacky, tacky. Some people ain't got no taste.
The guy doing the commenting sounds like Smackdown Wrestling announcer.
Impressive.
Very cool…all dams fail.
YYYYYYYYYYEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Looks rowdy!!😊
Well done. !!
awesome!!!
That's sick. I feel like my rigid boat would want to catapult me out on a couple of those.
Nice music!
Six kayakers and another raft watching from the scout while a solo boatman runs alone on class IV-V in a remote river canyon. Stunning decision.
Clean.
@@benjamincalvin1507 You call that a “clean” run? Not hardly… He back ferried into the hole, side surfed, dropped his oar and then landed on the rock. Yep, that’s clean in the sense he didn’t swim or flip. 😁 And it was a bad decision too.
It’s widowmaker @ 3300cfs. He did fine
@@Michael65429 Exactly, that guy was so far over his head. Non existent eddy turn. Zero speed, angle or trajectory. A perfect example of what not to do.
@@Michael65429 one look at his bright shiney helmet was all it took for me to know he shouldn't have been running it.
Nice job in class 1 rapids
It’s a II to II+ an IK could flip, it’s quite turbulent, and there’s under flow from the dam. Bigger In person.
