KLR650 Easy DIY Top Case -Cheap Amazon Case- (Any Good?)
Переглядів 11110 днів тому
Little video installing a cheap DIY top case from Amazon. Thanks for watching guys! MUST READ - Hey guys, I'm watching the video and I noticed I didn't use any large washers on the inside of the case. I should of, (more surface area to hold case down, less chance of cracking) and will be taking each bolt out one by one and installing a washer on the inside only. Thinking to much about recording...

DIY bathroom remodel/custom shower (Almost complete) #1
Переглядів 5525 днів тому
Short video where I'm at in my bathroom remodel. (FYI, when I said 20k or more that's if I hired someone to do the work) I'm not a professional, so this for me takes some time. Designing layout, while deciding what your going to use, while learning and researching, gathering tools, (having the funds) and executing these projects takes quite a bit of time. I'll plan on getting some videos in on ...

Versys 650 gas tank removal (with gas in tank)
Переглядів 90Місяць тому
Removing gas tank with gas inside, what will happen? 3 bars on fuel gauge I think. I would say 3 gallons of gas in take not 2. Check engine light on, code 21. Trying to fix the starting issue the bike has. Stay tuned!

Just a quick initial impression video. Full review coming shortly. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review man. Just wanted to ask, how many miles can you go on a full battery?
No problem bud. I'm posting another quick video on the bike for you and anyone else that's been looking into these bikes. (will be up in the next 30 minutes) I've been busy or its been freezing or raining, but ill get out more with them in the future. 30 miles no problem with little peddling here and there. Watch the new video for more info. Also wanted to mention the new laws there making against E-bikes in cali, so many other states to follow I'm sure. If your worried at all about that might look into one without a throttle or just a nice regular higher end peddle bike. I should make a video on that subject. Thanks for watching, and commenting!
one more thing this bike has the 15Ah lithium-ion battery
Thank you
Your welcome, been busy or its been freezing or raining lol. I'll get out soon and get some more footage of this e bike.
The oil collects in the stator cover when on the side stand. So when doing an oil change the bike needs to be pulled over slightly to the right to get all the oil out. I have a 1989 and a 2008 KLR, they both have the original O-ring in the oil filter cover. There's no need to change it at every filter change. Previous service manuals did not ask for it to be changed. Don't sweat it.
Hey XLV, yea I did lean it to the right the first oil change. Don't think I did during this one. I did put it on a 3/4 chunk of wood but that's it. I was thinking that about the O-ring. I figured I would take a lot of heat for it when I don't change it lol. But yea I'm not going to buy one if it doesn't come with filter unless necessary. Thanks for the info, and the good comment.
I hope you figure it out, my bike just got this problem and I can't find anything on the internet about resolving it smh
I will let you know if I do. Start by checking your starter relay. Make sure you feel and hear it click when hit start button. (test it.) Check all your wires from pickup coil ,(test it) wires from pretty much everything lol. (check grounds) Check your start button itself make sure its getting contact. If you hear something happening when you push it every time, then it should be fine. If not hit it with some WD 40 in the start button area. (Take apart if need be) MAKE SURE BATTARY GOOD> Ill get back with you when I get back on mine..
Display no on what problem
You have to have key in or it wont turn on. Maybe that's the problem?
I’m sorry, but the sound quality is to bad. It’s something buzzing in the background.
Yea not sure what that is, maybe fridge. (maybe crap camera) I don't think its "so bad" but yea I hear it as well. Not trying to be a pro, but I got a new camera sense then and another showing up today, (long story) lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@ could be. Maybe it’s just my earbuds that boost the fridge sound.
@@Hesseishere prob, but I didn't hear it till you said it lol. It was fairly loud. 😁
My opinion, the DR650 is worth the price if you want to keep it forever. I would def go for the modded used one before a brand new DR. They haven’t changed in almost 30 years so a clean used DR with upgrades is worth saving a couple thousand dollars on. I’m fortunate enough to have several bikes (KTM 500 exc-f,KTM 890 adv r,Honda xr150L and a DR650). If I could only have 1 bike it would be my DR. It truly is a do it all machine.
Yea I hear you. I found a 2006 for 4k looks clean in photo. But I think that's a little older than I would want. (I like the simplicity of the bike) I went and sat on the DR I mentioned in the video used 2024 $6500 with all the mods done. It felt taller than I expected. Didn't really speak to me. Then I sat on a 2024 KLR 650 S and I got to say I really liked it. I never knew they made a shorter one. Any opinion on the KLR? Here's the kicker I found 1 for 4999 brand new. (if they still have it)
I used to own a KLR and personally didn’t care for it. Great dependable motorcycle but even slower ,heavier and less exciting than the DR650. What it comes down to is what you wanna do with it? XR650 is more off-road friendly. KLR650 is more road friendly. DR650 is a very good middle ground that can do it all.
Intresting analysis mate, thanks for documenting it.
No problem bud, thanks for the comment!
Hey guys, just wanted to add I took bike on night ride over rough rock terrain as you can see in the second picture at end of video. Bike went up things I never expected it to and probably shouldn't of been where I had it lol. (I was riding slow and easy though) Also went up steep hills with ease. While my son had to push his bike up I went up with zero effort. lol One thing is the bike is BIG, so if your a tiny person might want to look else where.(my wife is 5'7 for reference) Catch you on the next ride!
And for more storage in the bathroom wayfair has a cabinet in black I got next to my toilet it's about 4 feet tall and only 8 inches by 8 inches
Yea could use more storage for sure. Ill check it out. Thanks!
@@HookLineSinkerOfficial no problem it's always nice getting good ideas.
Also I forgot the chain popped off while doing 27mph down street. (Unacceptable) My wifes cheaper e-bike we got, rode off road up and down small mountains, chain never came off. Also makes horrible noise something shaking around maybe the battery, and that's just riding down the sidewalk to the point of embarrassing. (completely unacceptable for a bike that used to be 1600$) Not pleased so far.. IMO should be better!
Have you taken the radio out and make sure the speakers are wired up right? I did it to mine it sounds a lot better. And I upgraded my springs front 1700 lbs to 2500 lbs it took most of the sway out while towing.
Hey Brian, no hadn't messed with speakers. It sounds good just the sub doesn't do what you would expect. I got OEM springs, mine doesn't sway though. Every now and again I can see it move a hair back and forth when I go over a bump or a tad windy. I wouldn't call it a sway. My truck pulls it really well. Thanks for the comment bud!
@HookLineSinkerOfficial the sub might sound better too my inside speakers was wired up to the left and so was the outside ones the right wires off the radio wasn't hooked up at all sound 10 times better now. It's good to see simple things to make the campers more usable.
@@brianwilson1749 Ill look into that, cause my sub just adds a tad bit of depth nothing much. Wouldn't call it bass. Ill check it out when I can. Thanks for the advice.
I could live in this.
Cool
