Nice. But will these settings also help me solve my ongoing problem with UA-cam banding with color gradients in 4K resolutions? I guess not.

@@Lordryleeg Color correction and 4K are all well and good, but if I have extreme color gradients (preferably still “moving”) in the video and then upload the video to UA-cam, I always have visible steps between the color gradients despite the high resolution. Export in Rec709 Gamma 2.4 doesn't help.

I’ve followed these tips exactly but for some reason it hasn’t changed mine at all😭 do you happen to know why this could be?
To add on to this as I’m still trying to play around with it, I can see the colour change in the node box, but it doesn’t apply it to the working video. I’ve tried copying and pasting it and still nothing. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi. I had the same problem. I use Da Vinci Resolve 18.6 freebie and found boosting the Global setting in Color did the trick for me.

Woh you save me so much time and effort! Usual solution is to use a Color Space Transform from Rec2020 to Rec709 but it is not sufficient and require precise color grading on each node. Now Apple do the works with Photos, brilliant.

@@ElenaPadoveseFilmmaker I just use the recommended ones I don’t really play with those unless I’m trying to upscale the video so that when I can press it for online use it looks better but other than that I just hit export and use what it gives me most time

My footage is from Sony camera tho, not iPhone. So when I import the footage was fine until I export it became washed out

yes, this issue i faced a lot. it's mono, so turning stereo works but with embeded 1,2. ( request : please make video how to shot match keeping both video of pic together in colour page)

@@Lordryleeg when we have to do colour correction. we go in colour page and we keep make colour graded pic or video left side and our target video on left side for colour grading. we do shot match . i think it's about image wipe, split screen use in colour page. i hope you understood my request

Thank you for this! It helped me get the color back perfectly. However, when I export from the deliver tab, for some reason the color transform space is lost. It looks great on the timeline and the preview, it's just the final .mov video loses that color transform. I'm completely new to davinci resolve so idk if there is something obvious I need to do. I tried messing with the advanced settings of custom export (color space tag and gamma tag) and I do get different coloration in the export with those, but nothing that matches what i managed to get in the timeline with that CTS node. I also made sure ENable Flat Pass is set to off.
Your videos helped me out so I thought I’d share a new solution that worked for me. For me the issue was a simple formatting problem. All you have to do is go into your iPhone settings, camera, and formats, and change your format from High Efficiency to most compatible, and all the footage you record afterward should look correct in DaVinci resolve. No need for additional color grading. I should note I’m on windows 11 but I’m pretty sure it’s an issue with DaVinci Resolve. For some reason DaVinci resolve can’t read IOS’s High Efficiency formatting. It’s like reading a foreign language to DaVinci Resolve.

This process destroy the quality of the footage. The best solution I found is import clip in imovie, export it. I know it sounds like a joke but it works 100%. You get the same exactly quality and color.
