Leading up to this race TVG interviewed Martin Garcia, who was training both Collected and Arrogate for Baffert. And he was asked about Collected and he replied with a sly grin that Bob may not want to run Collected against Arrogate because he may beat him.

Accelerate would win 6 major races the following the season including the Classic but was somehow robbed of the Horse of the Year award. Passing of the torch, indeed (though it was passed first to Gun Runner)

To be fair even if Arrogate was on his game he might have finished second. Then again if El Huerfano's jockey hadn't lost his irons Arrogate might have finished last.

arrogate exhausted bear in mind that thoroughbred horse is the fastest racing horse in short range horses but it easy to fatigue comparing with pure Arabic horse which can make daily race easily

that race is an obvious win by arrogate because at the last stretch we could really see that if there were two meters more to the finish line arrogate could have taken collected. it was a jockey error. he knows his horse could take it but it was a too late reaction. that's why he lost. the jockey is playing catch up. it's a technique used by champion blood lines so that they will not fully show the strength of their horse. IF THEY WOULD REPEAT THAT RACE AND ARROGATE AND COLLECTED ONE ON ONE. COLLECTED HAS NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER WINNING AGAINST ARROGATE.
A loss is a loss. Your American horse is a flop and doesn't deserve the rating it has. Winx and Enable would both destroy that donkey.
Pokie Slaps if Winx is so good why they don't take her to Dubai classic, Pegasus or the breeders cup? Aren't those the biggest races in the world?
that was a fixed race! h. racing just like any other gambling sports in order to win big you must be in the last or "dehado". then a comeback will be made to once again prove it's champion bloodline. in the dubai race the 2nd runner up did not even came close to arrogate.
The horse who had the lead........Gun Runner.......was past by Arrogate and took second. That same horse, Gun Runner.....won 3 races over Arrogate and Just won the BCC over all the horses, and is the HOY for this year. AND probably Champion too. Arrogate has never earned an award at all. Sad. No Eclipse awards. He did win the NYTA award for his Dubai run. That's it. Nor has Arro raced much. A total of 7 wins and four losses. It's just that he won TWO races with huge purses. The Pegasus and DWC. That's all. No accomplishments other than two huge purse races. AND Bob B always wanted a horse to beat Chrome. Chrome won all 8 of his races last year but the BCC......that's where Arrogate came in and won the BCC by a neck. ?? Was no big deal. Chrome retired last year as North America's richest race horse. CC did come back for one race in Jan of the next year.......this year. Pegasus but could have cared less. He ran Arrogate down alright but then backed off......twisted knee......fluid on the knee. Thank God nothing serious. But he was retired last year. Arro didn't even win anything past the Pegasus in Jan. and DWC in March and that was it. No wins since. That cooked him. He's done. BUT in those two races.Pegasus pays $10million.........Dubai World Cup is $10 million........but he has no awards coming to him. HE only won money. Didn't accomplish anything and only raced one full year. Poor boy is cooked and done. Bob does push them for speed. They all burn out but not this quick. Arro does retire with $17million. AND the pedigree of Unbridleds Song......which is what will save him. IF he can produce a winner.

mike is is a top but that race im not agree 7 runners and he was always on the third place outside,amazing he have to run behind a horse during all the race to push the speed of arrogate at the end i think , for the horse and everoyne

Why haven't they bought her over to compete? Everybody else in Europe comes here. The Dirt oval is for talented , fast and strong horses. Why hasn't Winx gone to Dubai at least? She's only run on HER turf course. That's it. Most of our great horses like California Chrome have won on ALL surfaces including Turf. Dirt races pay a lot more. Winx is Awesome. With the record she carries.....she is the best. over there. She hasn't traveled outside her zone to qualify for Worlds Best. That's all we're saying. She has to come and compete and win. Not even win. Going to another country's track adds a lot of GOODNESS to the horses resume. More so if they win. ALL horses from all Countries are invited to Dubai for the carnival of races. There's turf races galore there too. ALL horses LOVE it in Dubai. They really perform excellent and ALL have to be drug free. In Dubai they don't drug horses nor do they bet on horses. You have to bet online. Winx should show her talent there. AND here. WE're in AWE when we see UK, France or Japan come over for our races in the USA and they all do. And win on the turf. Some on the dirt. Bring her over.
What possible incentive would there be for her to travel halfway around the world to race on dirt against horses juiced up? Arrogate traveled to dubai to race another US horse gun runner who beat him in the breeders cup! Pls dont act like Arrogate has beaten a variety of world class horses, because the reality is, the majority of horses race on turf. That being the case, why wouldn't horses like CC & Arrogate travel to Ascot, or France, or HK to truly test themselves? It is a pathetic argument. Do we rate Frankel or Sea the Stars or Enable any worse because have only raced in the UK & France? Winx has won 22 straight, 14mill in prize money, against the boys most of the time too, and utterly spanks them- something that Zenyatta never even got close to doing. She will go to Europe next year as money is not the issue, and bluntly, a G1 in Europe far outweighs a G1 in the US or Dubai. She is the number 1 horse in the world, and frankly they should travel to her.
Accelerate was miles better after that run, LOL.
When a horse is "on the muscle" you run him unless he is injured or has some type of problem, it didn't seem that arrogate was having any problems, he was winning big. Why in the world would a trainer lay this horse off for so long? May very well have cost him the race!
Trainer has forgotten more about horse racing than we will ever know. He gave Arrogate a break to give him a chance to recover. Alas Arrogate never did recover fully.
Arrogate had a long time off, forgot how to run, and remembered he had won $17 bucks for these jerks and only won 7 races. he said "I'm tired of running. I made you a lot of rmoolah, I want to date a lot of mares in the brn!!!
And they were comparing this horse to frankel 😂😂😂😂 Fucking no chance how was this horse ever rated #1 above the likes of winx and CC it's a joke! Won a couple of good races against a retiring CC and all of a sudden he's "the best ever" he's no frankel and never ever would be
