SUPER VINTAGE SONY WALKMAN PERSONAL CASSETTE PLAYER WM-102 (1987)
They (Sony) made some beautiful walkmans. Bought a WM-DD-33 at a flea market for 2 euro and selled it for 130. I knew it was an expensive one. Buyer was happy; me too !
Ой гуцалык муцацалык гуцацюнька гуцаца 👍👍👍👍
Классный плеер 👍
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🥳🥳🥳🥳👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I didn't know that Portable Cassette Players were a thing back then.
Out of genuine curiosity, when did you think they were a thing? The first one came out in like '79.
Una pregunta,¿dónde venden este walkman tan chido?
That's a thing of beauty! Bonus points for having Pet Shop Boys on the test tape.

Thanks for this. Ran it in 1989 and in this year. I appear at 25.28 in a high vis vest. Can still remember it including the Pint of Guinness the night before.
I had bought this model red color in 1989 in Kolkata city and used it for 3-4 years single battery operation simple control awesome music quality

Thanks for posting i had that very one.
1987 and that slim?
As a child of the 80's, I remember how bad I wanted one of Sony's deluxe models like that. Nowadays I laugh, because cassettes were crap
Cassettes are not crap they sound great
@@rhen1215 You're talking to someone who lived through that era, and had thousands of cassettes---they were crap.
@@justsumguy2u I have thousands as well no exaggeration cassettes can sound amazing if you use good tapes and a good deck. Pop that in a good walkman and it will sound amazing
@@rhen1215 Even with good tape and a good deck, there are still problems with things like dropouts, being eaten, being demagnetized, and of course tape hiss. Dolby was not a solution for tape hiss either; all it did is just kill all the treble
@@justsumguy2u again, dropouts don’t happening if you use good tapes, hiss was low on chrome and metal and Dolby did work if calibrated correctly. Tapes almost never got eaten in a good player and if you took care of them they wouldn’t bind.
Es un caño ese Walkman!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It a sony i love you
First song please??

I still have this. But I have lost the rechargeable battery. Any idea where to obtain one?
eBay or Amazon just search up the model number then recharge able battery
Thanks for posting this
Thank you for that video👍 I ran the 80 in 1989 and seeing this brought back some wonderful memories! Also seeing Brighton & Hove team mates Mark Lamb & Alan Deacon amongst the runners. Seems like yesterday amazing time to have been running 🏃♂️
Will this fit in your pocket?

I just got one like this but it is a wm-f109. do you think the wm-102 battery would fit on this one? It looks very much like it
sgreen4 Should do, as the former is the logic controlled version of the 102.
I need one of those
truly a magnificent piece of technology
wow, that looks beautiful! i had 3 walkmans that progressed and had more functions in the 90s but they all broke down eventually bec i overused them 24/7 and brough them everywhere with me. i hated discmans, they would skip everytime you went over a bump in the road and had less features than walkmans
And then they invented skip/shock protection with a buffer memory, Sony had 2 levels, that you could go jogging and never miss a beat!!👍 I had a Car Discman, a D-808K that predated G protection, when I installed a Sony gooseneck arm that attached underneath the slip on tray with power connections, there were 4 dampeners to help absorb shocks and then all was good, and I had a Camaro Z/28, so that was saying a lot. Then I bought a DE-J2000 Sony, the lightest, (magnesium), thinnest and longest playing time for that era. I think it was 40 hrs with the external AA battery. I still have it today. For cassettes I use and have two HS-J707’s, but the rechargeable PB-3 sealed lead acid batteries are long gone and no one makes them.
Genial.
Wow these things were a gem 💎 80s 90s were the best times growing up, i miss it so much soo much
Same here :D
I second that:)
They are collection items now. This can fetch hundreds. The 1980s was the golden era of Walkmans.
It's for sale that Walkman !
Sorry, it has been sold.
