MGB Weber DGV Carburetor (Miscellaneous Parts) - Part 3
great explanations but camera work makes it difficult to follow because of so much movement,
STOP WITH THE CAMERA MOVEMENT!!!
Do you disconnect the battery before that type of job?
7 years after this video was made, I was able to find the information I needed. Thank you for sharing the info and part numbers. Top Down in Hawaii 😁🤙
Good info but the video was un watchable
Would you happen to know if it would be in my best interest to copy what jets you're using in my off the Moss shelf DGV? I have an '80 MGB 18V with some mods.. Mild cam, trophy exhaust, lighter flywheel, double timing chain, 8.7:1 pistons? Thank you for the videos!
will this webber fit on my MGA?
Like the video. What jets are you using in the carb
I hope someone can answer my question. I have the same exact carburetor and I was wondering do these Jets get clogged up with gunk? Or the emulsifier things? My car is hesitating a lot in first gear but in second third and fourth it goes perfect. I think something is gummed up in the carburetor. Does this sound right to you guys?
I have a question for u . Would u mind telling me what the little brass peices that r all the way at the ends of the jet rail.i will send u a pic once u agree to answer my question. Please and thank you.
Nice color, I have the same paint on my car, but what is it called?
I’ve got the same color too on my 1977 MGB. It’s called Chartreuse yellow.
Just a suggedtion: to avoid head ache and eye strain for watchers, the camera need not move around at 100 miles a second. Slow and steady is key.
I have a weber 32/36 that I just installed on a 1979 MGB; but when accelerating and taking the car to 4500 rpm, the car stays at those 4500 rpm even though the carburetor is at idle speed. I have to rev it several times until it backfires and then drops the rpm to 1000. How can I fix this problem?
Nice MGB.
Could not watch this because of the bad camera work
Accelerator pump valve assy that holds the “squirter” in place is actually a check valve with a bb in it. Shake to ensure bb is free, blow and suck lightly to ensure check valve function while covering two side holes. Do not use carb or brake cleaner as it has a nylon insert inside. Better still, just replace it when you rebuild. Most kits dont have this part.
i don't understand: primary main jet (32) =150 and secundary main jet (36)=140 Isn't it in the first (small mouth) the small jet and in the second (large mouth) the largest jet?
Not always...every engine will require a different set up. Have fun!
What a great video. Thank you!
My daughter just bought a 2015 Cruze LT. It came with the spare with the jack underneath it, but it's missing the tire iron to loosen the lug nuts. I guess that's what you get for buying used.
Please show some respect & don't rev a cold engine hard like that! There is no need for it & will result in long term engine damage! By the way did you apply full choke before you started the engine? Do you still have the car & it is still roadworthy please?
nice!
Good day please if you can hep me a have 32/36 weber a strip and clean it all on the second states straggle to ref up if you open it ful trottle it refs up please if you can make a video to show what is the problem on mine
Great video. Thank you very much. I now have a DGV on my '59 Alfa Romeo. 1300cc motor (with 1400 kit and heavier 2 liter cams). Any suggestions on idle jet sizing? It is very tough to keep running at idle. Thank you!
I just got a 2017 cruze, to be honest,... I haven't checked if I have spare but I'm 80% sure that I don't have it ioi What Chevrolet is doing is shameful, a total complete disgrace to the buyers. I love my chevy but I'm really pissed about the spare. I bough the car to help our made in America products.., and don't even get me started about the sells person from Chevrolet who never even mentioned the spare...Sometimes Trust, but verify is better than blinded trusting a company...etc...etc...etc...
save yourself some trouble by melting some solder into the connector first, then melt the solder and drop the wire in and that way you don't apply too much heat to the connector.
First time I've seen someone take the calliper off to just change the pads!
Would you have to totally remove that soft top if you wanted to put a hard top on. Thanks lovely car
Not very hard. Just need to remove the 3 screws that are on each side that hold the frame in place to the body. Pull off the frame and top at the same time. It’s probably best to have some help when actually lifting the frame/top assembly off the car body.
using this info for my toyota =)
Great videos! Was wondering where your vent hose from the intake manifold is connected to? Can’t quiet see it in the videos. Mine is on a 69 MGBGT. Thanks!
Is the flash shield necessary in Lucas cei jag v12, if so where does it go? Thanks
You said this was a video installing a spare tire. What in idiot I am, I thought you were going to install the spare on the car. Where a flat tire was. This is just wasted time. 2 videos to watch and remain disappointed. Relabel your stuff properly.
Anyone watching this should know that the inserts inside the barrels shouldn't be that loose of a fit. They depend on vacuum to draw the fuel and should fit tighter. Mine had the same problem years ago, I used a thin brass feeler gauge in the other side. You can also add an O ring or a set screw on the outside. You can also look into an O2 Sensor to tune the carb. Easier to tell when it's fat/lean and where it happens.
Terrible filming, don’t see anything
My secondary chamber is carbon coated. Would that be from my auxiliary vernuti tube being plugged?
brake time again.....this time I need to change a hose
Part number is 250-130 with zip out window and 250-080 with standard window.
hello. i wonder how the inner venturis effect? and what sizes should be good for 1200cc engine?
Nice father - son vid, well done !
GREAT vid, thanks a ton !!
Great video, very useful. How do you prime the fuel?
I seem to melt the insulation slightly and ìt exposes the wire..
What is the name of the color of your car. Thanks for the previous carb videos. They were informative.
I bet the camera man is going to be an engineer when he gets older.
very helpful, i just bought a 2011 use cruze, and it came with a spare, but it doesn't fit. i see now it has an inflator kit, so the spare is probably not original. i see i need to take the whole bottom out to make it big enough for the tire. did you get a mat to go on top?
OMG wrong end just NO... How was you able to have kids?
If there is no extra tab on the starter motor to give a temporary 12v feed, just use a piggy back connection to the starter relay output wire , red and white, going down to the starter motor, which will provide the 12 volts to the coil,, BUT ONLY while the starter motor is operational.I believe the whole idea of ballast is that a low voltage coil , such as Luminition, running at 8 volts, saturates more quickly and enables faster and better sparking.
Great video! Please upload part 2 soon 👍
Best explanation of how a Weber works I have seen.
So wrong title. Pad change not disc. Pushing back the piston process must incorporate checking fluid level check. Reusing split pin is never a recommendation as these are sacrificial.
What's the model number on the box? It's fuzzy in the video.
