They have a new lead singer. Who is from Bramley in Leeds. He replaces the original lead singer. New album out next year. Also check out Psyclona from Bradford west Yorkshire. They are really good. Mixing stoner.desert rock with psychedelia and doom. They come from the village of idle and surrounding areas . Which are in the area of Bradford where I reside. Keep up the good work buddy. Here's some thoughts. Between "Sayonara" and "What We Used To Be"...and also that, if memory serves me correctly, the band is moving away from their all-white outfits that they used while performing live...it feels like they may be setting things up for a new and different chapter. And, if this is a new chapter, I wonder if they would open up their catalog and reinterpret some of their existing music while performing live. The possibilities are endless. And one other thing. Instead of drinking the water (?), wouldn't it have been easier and more effective to just pour it over your head to cool off? 😅

you are right with your analysis due to this song, but the latest song that came out yesterday is about the war: JINJER - Rogue (Official Video) As far as your opinion of Jinjer's popularity is concerned, I can understand you when it comes to small venues etc., otherwise, and I'm a musician myself, I think that Jinjer's musical potential should be brought to the world.............................. thanx for your reaction & warm greetings from the german musician

Yeah, I thought I knew more than I did about their next album. But, like you, I've got very little. They signed with a new label in June and as part of the news release, it contained the following: "The forthcoming album from ENEMY INSIDE is anticipated to be a new landmark in their creative journey. Breaking free from genre boundaries, the album promises a mix of heavy, energetic tracks and melodic, catchy hooks, designed to take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster." Not sure if you had seen/read that or not...but, there it is. As far as new music goes, I wonder if they're taking a small step in a similar direction as Beyond the Black. That description above of the new album wouldn't feel out of place when it comes to describing BtB. Who knows. As far as the band goes, I've seen 'em live twice...first in 2019 (along with another band you might've heard of...Phantom Elite...and that's where I met Marina for the first time)...and again in 2022 at a music festival in the Netherlands (The Rock Circus)...and, that was the second time I encountered Marina (we even briefly discussed your reaction to "Run" from Exit Eden.) Both times, I tried to meet Evan...but, the first time, I never saw him come out after his set and I didn't want to wait around like a stalker...and, the second time, I tried to connect with him...but, the festival meet and greet line was poorly set up and there was no way that I was going to stand in line on the off-chance that I was going to meet him. I guess the third time is the charm, y'know? There are touring Europe in Feb/Mar 2025...and I'm looking very closely at one specific date that would work for me. So who knows?

it's pronounced "podo-lyA-nochka", with stress on the third syllable 😄 the literal translation of the term is "girl from Podolia/Podillia" and the motif they're invoking is of a children's song by the same name that's played in a circle game similar to Ring Around the Rosie it sings about a young girl who fell to her knees and broke down crying, with the lyrics in the next verse encouraging her to stand up, wash off her tears with a glass of water and show everyone her dance moves - actions which are mimed in the circle game I have to admit that I was skeptical at first of Jerry Heil invoking folkloric motifs in her music since the full scale invasion after having her entire career consist of basic pop songs, all or which were in Russian - though now I certainly don't blame her as this was the industry standard for a long time and artists who didn't set their aims at a Russian-speaking audience were exceptional even in the late 2010's - and the songs she put out at first felt more like short-lived memes due to the nature of their Tiktok-friendly releases but this song? it was a surprising banger that makes me have some hope for her not resorting to memefying Ukrainian music 😂😂

Do and Ti are the ”alien names” of their leaders and everything inbetween are some of the members’s ”alien names” too but it can also be some kind of music scale because ”Do” was a music teacher before it all went down and yeah it’s a crazy story feel free to look it up if you like
