Here's something I've been working on and got finished around last July. A 60-minute album of songs "Songs for the Sick" meant to serve as an homage to someone close to me. And my attempt to make a visualizer. As a way to provide comfort and peace, ...for most of the songs, I stuck with an ambient-like sound to keep the songs in. Each track blends the sounds of mellow guitars and distant untuned drums layered over blankets of synth or guitar parts, pulled together by rich bass tones and slow vocals, to provide a calming or emotionally rich sound.
Every instrument was played and recorded by me in my home studio on cheap analog gear, (yes, I know the drums sound bad, I only had one mic at the time of recording them.) The whole thing was also mixed by me in various locations in Oregon. the whole project took around 8 months to complete, between December 15th, 2023, and August 15, 2024. As someone who enjoys music, I had fun recording and creating these songs, but not so much fun, trying to figure out how to get the whole thing online as an album, if you can help, please contact me.
