Not to mention the replacement lcd for the 4k is $120 or 130. I paid 80 bucks for the whole printer. Lcd died after a handful of prints and it's been sitting in a corner ever since. Support said they are out of stock on the lcd and kept telling me to contact this and that email. Different emails went to exactly the same people I spoke to. The whole company is a joke
I came here for the exact same project that you were talking about at the start of the video😂.
This is installed in the wrong way
great presentation! for such a super specific niche topic this video has done well. at 3:00 I'm sure you've figured this out by now 2 years later but Acetone is what you want here over IPA. super glue and hot glue once set/cured, wont be too affected by 91 IPA. but acetone will clear it right up. likely take some of that blue paint off with it ithough haha which is also what I did
thanks for this!
but the weel wont spin is then shomthing wrong with the nerf
For the glue i just stuck a regular sized kinfe into their and hoped for the best and if you push hard enough the glue will break off
nerf elite 2.0 series is very hard open. no fun
Where is the log book
Hey Thanks for the Lesson. Just completed a Wonderful portable Xmas lantern for my window display👍👍
Can I buy yours? I absolutely adore this printer and now I can’t even find a used one. This printer is gold. I’ve made nearly $2K with this printer in a few short weeks.
hopefully you get this message soon. On Voxelabs website there's a used section that has these for 50 bucks.
May I ask how you've made that much money? What do you build? Do you sell what you build?
I got this 3D Printer just last year, I do not recommend it. Although I am new to 3D Printing so I guess my recommendation is biased because I’m still a beginner. Only after 3 prints the damn 3D Printer started failing. Eventually components started damaging and I had to buy new ones. It’s still broken, and I’m still trying to fix it. UGHHHH
I got one as well, probably from the same sale that he got it from. The software incompatibilities are quite annoying, and I also found out it's hard to get reasonably priced resin vats for it (though with some modification I got some 3rd party Mars 2 Pro vats to work). But I will say the print quality is quite nice for the price. The motherboard is a cheapout but the rest of it is solid IMO. Also with some easy ini tweaks you can get ChituBox to save into the right format, which is way better than the crappy slicer they ship it with. AFAIK you can't get Lychee to work though, which kinda sucks, though that may have changed since I last looked. I wouldn't recommend the printer either, but if you happen to be stuck with one there are work arounds for the issues.
When the tutorial tells you to rest if you need to. Fuck you hasbro
think u just had a bad unit mines great
Amazing tutorial. Unfortunately I do not possess your level of patience, and ended up hitting the gun with a hammer until it broke.
The motor on my gun died in a day.....

anyone know where to get a 4k LCD for a proxima I haven't seen one other than the voxelab webpage and 100 something for one seems a bit much
No such luck. I looked everywhere. Looks like it's just gonna stay a paperweight
It 100% works with Chitubox after a 30 second change to the CFG file. Literally 30 seconds. You’re bashing of this printer is just limiting and scaring new folks from an affordable product.
Maybe they have made some changes since I produced this video. However, that still does not diminish the other problems. They swapped the control board and removed some of the features a full board would have without telling you that. In addition, I was not able to get a response from their customer service. I would argue that new people would have better luck purchasing something that works with new slicers out of the box and has support. Just my experience, I have had zero issues with my Mars 2 pro.
Works good, just because it doesn't work for him doesn't mean it doesn't work. Looks good too, great for beginners.
Couldn’t agree more. He must be new to this hobby. When I got into this nearly 10 years ago, everything and I do mean everything required a modification of some sort.
I just got one and it works flawless. It's the file format that kinda gave me an issue in the beginning but i got mine for $95 and have already done several Pokemon prints that you can barely tell the were printed right off the plate lol
Damn I wish I would have watched this a week ago when I popped up on my page because now I’m regretting it😅😅
Thanks for excellent advice. I used hot air blower to soften the glue, which worked well as it also made plastic softer to bend. Didn't chip anything.
I've had my proxima for 18months now and had very little issues that weren't my own fault on reflection. I have no idea where you bought your machine and which company you are contacting as I have gotten responses from them almost quicker than I could post them. I feel for you on your issues but it just doesn't remotely match the experience I have had.
Interesting, just to clarify, do you have the 2k or 4k version? It appears the swapping of the mainboard happened roughly 12ish months ago and using their UA-cam video release date for the 4k one as a rough product release date puts it on May 11, 2022 14ish months ago. If those time lines are wrong though it is possible you got one before they changed it or you got the better old stock from where you purchased it. I bought mine directly from the Voxelab Amazon store and had 2 different support tickets that I submitted through the contact us page on their own site go unanswered. It seems a YMMV tag could be warranted.
Why make videos for internet clout instead of just sending it back? Are you that starved for content? Seems like a stupid reason to send it back to me.
Use a slug hammer 😊😊
Hm, will this work on any bulb of this sort?
Unfortunately I am unsure, I have only tested the one type/brand of bulb. Without a knowledge of electrical circuits and access to the schematics of any given bulb I think it would be difficult to determine. I would probably end up using a bit of a guess and check method, although, that is admittedly not the best option.
No. I wasted 2 bulbs already that were assembled different inside. I noticed he used "omicoo" brand bulb which seems to be hard to find.
I got on, and so far it is great. Easy set up, easy to use, and the prints seem to be good quality. I'm a novice, so I could be missing some detail, but at this point, i'm really happy with it.
What software are you using right now with Voxelab Proxima?
@@KSa-ld7cp Chitubox.
thank u so much when i was doing obliteterate on moonsoon i didnt know how and where to start the newt alter was but i got to stage eight and got my captain mastery with out you tell me where the alters where i prob would have gave up on stage 5
Joey Kaufman if you care about the principles that this guy Mr. Davis is discussing (aside from rusty screws and a less than perfectly secured screen) don't purchase an AnyCubic printer. While most AnyCubic/newer printers may work good or great they're a company that values 106ish $'s more than having a good name (from my mouth at least), customer service, a repeat customer and the like. I purchased a new AnyCubic and it didn't work new out of the box. I worked with they're technical support department on two separate "tickets" and after sale service/sales/refunds/warranty department over a period of over 4 months just to have the firmware update they provided brick the thing though it wasn't much more than a brick anyway. They told me it would need a new board but that a new board wasn't available and then supposedly it was but I would have to pay for it. I invested in AnyCubic while they were still a fairly new company by buying a printer from them. They have sold many printers since then some costing over 1,000 dollars and they don't want to refund me 100$! Go ahead and buy AnyCubic but they're as much of a scumbag company as Voxelab apparently is or worse. Figured I would respond to you're comment as it appears that Mr. Davis here has enough time to make a video but not enough time to respond to his viewers. Of course I may have comments on a video that I haven't responded too either. If you do read the comments that you're viewers leave thanks for the heads up essentially on the knock off board. In principal I don't agree with "cloning" but I'm not in a position to be as supportive of original creators as I'd like to be and will take what I can justify affording for now. Sounds like the "knock off" board that Voxel is using isn't a real clone but only a partly close replica of a chitu board. That sucks! Apparently there are boards used on the Proxima 4k that can be updated to creality firmware (I read the Reddit post you linked to) and while that's a shame on Voxel for advertising as fully Chitubox compatible and I would rather not be doing all that I could probably figure it out if I have the board that can be flashed to that firmware. Is there an easy way for me to know what board I have by opening the chassis and inspecting the board for perhaps particular markings? In spirit...
Why such a comment? Uh I ordered one of these printers a couple days ago...
Hello, I do read the comments, life gets busy sometimes though and UA-cam doesn't pay the bills unfortunately. Apologies if this info is no longer relevant to you, I did find what looks to be a replacement for the original Chitu version of the board chitusystems.com/product/chitu-l-v3/ . It looks like they mostly use a black or white pcb so if you have a green one like mine was it is probably a clone board.
I got mine as a gift so I had to figure out how to make it work and I eventually get it to work with Chitubox. I don't fully remember the process but in short I had to go into an .ini profile and edit the settings for another printer to what I wanted for the Proxima 6 4k in order to get Chitu to save files in a format that the printer could read. Would not recommend especially if you don't want to hunt. And yeah, Voxelab support is terrible.
So your biggest problem is what? that it doesn't have a chitu board? I own one and am quite happy with it. Does it have a z offset. no. Do you need it? No. I'm able to level and print fine without that menu option. Honestly I don't even know what the exposure option does. I own multiple machines (with chitu boards) and never use it. It's pretty much a test file to see if the machines LCD is working and masks part of the screen. Well just run a print and there you go you can see if your screen is masking correctly. Now the firmware is honestly a non issue, for me. I own 4 machines and they are all working and never felt like i needed to update them. They aren't like computers where the manufacture thinks it needs you to update every day (No microsoft I don't want to update windows again today). Its working fine now and should work a year or two down the line. Yeah you might not get the latest features but it not a major deal breaker. And yes you can use chitubox, but you will have to do some config file changes. Honestly not a big deal to do. Search reddit on how to do it. Or just use the included Voxelab slicer. It works fine for slicing. Some people just use chitubox/lychee to add supports/hollow/etc (Voxelprint can do it too but it kind of sucks) then export the stl and use Voxelprint to slice the file. Its an extra step yes but more of a minor inconvenience at best. It all comes down to a few workarounds that some people may not want to deal with. I understand that. And yes Voxelab should have been more forth coming with that info and clearly tell this to the customer. But I feel that most people are forgetting to look at its price point. When I bought mine it was 130 shipped US no tax. I can forgive a few inconveniences. Compared to a few options then it was a good deal. Now? its gone up to 160 shipped. While not the good deal it was, its honestly a okay price point for a 4k printer. After owning it for several months I can say honestly its an decent machine. I glad I got it. That being said I did get a bigger machine.
I bought one do you have a page im waiting on mine to get in i also have a creality halot lite
Im waiting on mine to arrive i already have a halot lite the price is good
but the 6 4k doesn't have a profile for Chitubox on the thumb drive, they don't have one on their website and there isn't one already on Chitubox. Any of the profiles I tried wouldn't save in a format that the Proxima could read. I have to spend forever digging to find a workaround. You already have other printers so you know how to deal with the regular things to learn. A new user has to deal with the beginner learning curve as well as just getting the POS to work. If I could have returned mine, I would have but instead I had to spend 6-8 frustrating hours to get it to do what it should have been able to do out of the box.
Point taken. I do have experience that has helped me but if you think messing for several hours on settings is frustrating my friend 3d printing is not for you. I have spent days on troubleshooting problems. But yes it could be frustrating for a new user. There are new users that have the newest anycubic or elegoo machine and they can't get those to work. As a new user I would just use the included voxelprint software. People give it a lot of crap but its functional out of the box. Sure it sucks compared to the other slicers but it has everything you need to print without overwhelming new users. You don't drop a new driver in an formula one race car and say good luck learning to drive bye. Voxelprint has just enough tools to get a newer user started. Yeah better support over all would be nice. But better support for users trying to switch to chitubox or lychee could go a long way. I suspect this more chitubox themselves not wanting to play nice with voxelab over them not wanting to buy boards from them anymore. Why don't they just make a new config file for users to quickly download instead of having users scour the Internet for one. I honestly don't know. It might be something within chitubox tos that prevents companies from officially releasing configs.
@@user240485 Voxel print just kept crashing any time I tried to change anything. Because of its price I see it marketed as an entry level printer but like an Ender 3 Pro, it's best used as part of a print farm for those that know how to fix the inevitable problems. If someone is new, spend a bit more & get something with fewer problems out of the box. The learning curve should start from learning how to properly get a good 1st layer & how to use supports. Not how to make the damn thing work at all.
Very useful, thanks!
What 3D printer do you recommend?
I would say your best bet for beginner resin printing would be to go for one from the Elegoo Mars line up. They are well documented and I have had a good experience with the "open box like new" printers to help save a few dollars!

What is your plant good sir?
It is a Cascade Palm!
where is it when it's not in the first two spots and the caves are blocked off?
Two potential things could be happening: One, It is actually possible that it can still spawn in the cave when it is blocked off. Two, the alter has a chance to not spawn at all. As far as I know the only way to get into the caves if they are blocked is to dash through the lower doors rocks as mercenary.
