Quietpiper Ebony and Olive smallpipes
Thanks! Happy holidays! 🎅🏻🤶🙂😎
Excellent tone, superb playing, keep it up.
Thank you. I enjoyed that. Blessings.
You might have better luck playing the bellows sitting. At least for the tuning
👍👍🎵
Beautiful sound and playing! Who made those pipes? Sounds like the chanter is custom made?
Dakota Summers www.thequietpiper.com
@@TheQuietpiper beautiful pipes! They sound incredible.
Oh, heck, yes! Love the slightly "wild" sound of border pipes!
I enjoy your videos, there is one little clip of a tune you play very regularly in a lot of your video demonstrations can you tell me what it’s called please, great channel
the tunes are: Chevy Chase John Anderson, My Jo and the first part of Roxburgh Castle - till i messed up the tune
what is the second song?
Lexy McAskill
nature music my brother!
D has to be my favorite key for smallpipes
As a beginner small piper I love your videos. However if you don't mind me making one suggestion,it would be good if you positioned the camera so we can see your technique in it's entirety. There are no teachers near me so I have to learn by watching other players. Studying the way players like you work the bellows and bag and hold the chanter is a great help.
Nice sound! what's the difference between your smallpipe drones and border drones?
sounds great!! Same wood as mine! :)
Nice!!! Soft rich sound. Waiting for the humidity to break so i can play mine once more :)
sounds great! nice mellow tone

Love the sound of your d chanter
beautiful sound!
Very interesting sound. Do you make these pipes?
Chris Graham, thank you. Yes I did make the pipes in the video. I have a website at www.thequietpiper.com
They sound beautiful. I will be int he market for a set very soon. I've looked at the Walsh poly's as well as the McCallum ABW. These pipes of yours sound wonderful. Ill send you a message on your website.
Lovely combination set in A, C and D.
That drone sliding part swap was brilliant! All your standing parts must, obviously have the same tenon dimensions. My half-longs have different tenon diameters so that the correct sliding parts will only fit on their corresponding standing parts. Cane chanter reeds would then preclude the need for a low hand thumb hole? Presuming that you are in "A", a low (right hand) C natural would be cross fingered and not require a right hand thumb hole. (the bane of my plastic reeded bloody life!). That was a fabulous video mate. Thanks very much.
Ray Smith, thanks. The tenons are the same diameter and my chambers are reamed to the same size on all the smallpipe drones. Unfortunately even with a cane reed, the smallpipe chanters won't cross finger a C natural. That has to do with the bore being cylindrical rather than conical. So I do add a lower hand thumb hole for c natural.
When you took your baritone up to E, it sounded very Northumbrian. Nice pipes mate.
I love the drone switches. How are the four drones tuned and how is the secondary switch affecting them?
Hi can I ask what reed do you use in this please.
Beautiful! Whats that first tune with the drone called?
What is the last tune called?
+Pipe Major Geoffrey Stiùbhart Mairi's Wedding, followed by Jenny Dang the Weaver
What's the name of the tune you played at the end?
High road to gairloch, teribus, and I started into An Drochaid Chliuteach( the famous bridge)
Great sounding bagpipe! Great performance too!! Love that sound!
The tunes are Peacock's march(only the end part) Reels were: Mary O'Neils, Miss Ann MacKechie's, The Mill Stream and finished with a jig, Dr Flora MacAuley of Caradale transposed to G
Sounding good, Robert!
I think i've my choice for smallpipes! They sound great, man!
