The bottom path is for retry if you think that you can take on the boss after making it through the top top path but die anyway. The item that you got at the end can be picked up from the top top before you go into the fight.

The path to Blue is actually fun to extinct. Get to play a minigame each time with the cage

about 4:15:00 you should probably open the cages or at least look in then for items before dropping down. I could be mistaken and they're void of items. I'll see when you get there. Then you can drop down.

To any that are still watching in 2025, DadBod's series is incredible. But one thing to people struggling with hunter NPCs I would say is don't ignore your items. Poison Knives work on almost all (if not all) hunters. Open up with them and usually it takes 3-4 knives to proc poison. It's nice supplemental damage that gets ignored by a lot of people as they regulate items to "I'm afraid to use them as I'll run out." The items are there to be used, and make a lot of encounters a lot easier. Especially the hunter NPCs.

For those of you struggling with Mariners....use your Holy blade!!! (Or holy pots)

I finished my extinction run. Did it right this time. No exceptions for those that can be extinct. I started ng+ and am trying to do no bonfire. So far, Forest of Fallen is done without dying too.

The dragon didn't really spawn so i grinded for my levels

instead of running to get the dude at the top of the stairs, warp to the next bonfire, kill him then feather back and warp to the original bonfire. its a little slower but it avoids having to kill the invader and hippo at the stairs,

I always do my first play through these games by myself and of course miss a lot of stuff on that run and I just did my second playthrough alongside your walkthrough and I just want to say thank you for putting in all this work and effort to create what is in my opinion the best 100% walkthrough there is for this game

I've almost extincted the whole game. I have a few of the charred Loyce knights, some helpful npcs, and last two main bosses. I found that the crestfallen had a ring for me and the fire keepers had some human effigies for me.

I'm probably late but the boost to souls is actually an overkill bonus, I think it's do 150 damage in one hit and you get an extra 20% souls, it's just that backstabs and ripostes do a lot more damage so it looks like it is connected to them

Oh my God!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!! I came back to this game to finish off the trophy hunt I started long ago and this has been a great journey/experience. I followed it from start to finish and can happily say that I got the platinum trophy because of you! The only complaint I have is that you should put a symbol or marker to indicate which episodes has a trophy or mandatory to get a trophy. I noticed that in some of the episodes I would just watch you play for like 30 minutes just to see you grab crafting materials from dungeons and other places thinking it my lead to grabbing a trophy but were nothing in the end (I don't craft lol). Other than that, solid playlist. Might just get the DLC just to follow your journey again. Thanks again!!
