Do These Teachs ware Face MASKS when they Test the Fecal Stool Samples?????

When I go into Micro Lab, I’m in full PPE, and always wearing a mask! You can smell the fungi growing. And she’s yappin away no mask

Is there any processing of the sample prior to plating? Is it just a direct rectal swab? What if a solid sample is obtained? Is it homogenized or prepped in anyway to insure a complete evaluation of the bacteria present?

Fingers were touching the shaft possible cross contaminating the sample. Also, gloves should be changed after handling the stool sample container. You can't assume the outside of the container was not contaminated by the patient (most likely it was)
