City of Athens Shipwreck 2
Great day of diving on the shipwreck City of Athens on the dive boat Constellation out of Wildwood, New Jersey.
Captain Harry with crew Rich, Howard and Joe, did two dives on the wreck. Water was a cold 48 degrees on the bottom, but the visibility was exceptional.
Another lobster was rescued from abandoned fishing line.It is unfortunate that fishing line, nets, and traps litter the shipwrecks and continue to catch fish, lobster, crabs and turtles. We try to clear as much of this garbage as we can.

Feversham Shipwreck Salvage Rough Day
I normally do a backward roll into the water, but the Barnegat Roll is a lot more stylish.
Enjoy your posts, safe diving.
What an incredible NJ dive. Brings back great memories of diving with you folks. Safe diving my friend.
Nice footage!
Nice to see that Mola Mola.
Awesome adventure, Great job saving the lobster! A lot of interesting looking fish down there. Great video keep it up!
Are they all bergalls with the pointy face
wow, i have lost a lot of top and bottom rigs going back to when i was a kid when my dad and i went party boat fishing and the name the old time captains used call was the refrigerator shack. back then the old party boats had single screw detroit 6-71's and was about a three hour to get there. i recall there was another wreck about 2 miles away that we also used to stop one. but seeing the old refrigator shack on 4k was very enjoyable to me and brought great memories of m y dad and fishing on the first starfish out of sea isle ....thx so much
That water was so clear!!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Did Yin Ling contact you yet for a paid advertisement?
Cool video. It's no wonder I lost so many sinkers there! You guys could pay for fuel with all that lead down there. Nice job on the lobster rescue.
That's awesome! Also, great lobster save. That eel was pretty bold. lol
Fished there 4 times, we always got some good ones
I call him pincy
Gezzer dive, i like the old school approach, nice vid ❤
Awesome video
Brrr getting cold just watching.
Heading there in two weeks. I love that place.
I can barely hold a fish on land... Hes just grabbing them underwater
Really like your videos . I am an old guy that has been wrecking and spearfishing Florida for many years . I like that comfy looking boat ya got and you guys easy going laid back style . Safe diving to you .
Been there in late 90s, there's a ton of bars of soap still in the wrappers inside. You can access it through a hole at the bow, about half way to the sand
Very cool video, fished it many, many times
Parts of their faces aren't covered that water is freezing how do they do it.
Great!
We were surprised at the lack of legal sea life. The legal tog appear to have been fished off, the lobster were just missing altogether, sea bass out of season and not many yet and so on. I think this would be a great tog wreck if not so heavily fished and in years past we have seen much more fish life. Ever since the gps trolling motors came out there has been a dramatic increase in boats fishing the wrecks. We try to remove some foreign material when we can, so this time it was some rope. There is still loads more there along with lost sea bass/lobster pots. We have removed nets in the past and will do more in the future as time and money allow. We found out recently that Harry just celebrated his 50th year of diving and when we though about it most of our crew is getting close to the same anniversary.
Great video. What was that that you found?
Hello I would like to share a photo with you of the crew. I found a picture that is labeled Dad on the SS Cleopatra!
Hello Joe. May I please have your permission to utilize some of your footage of the San Saba wreck for a 30 minute episode of RAPTR Adventures, a non-profit fishing/adventure show I produce. I would be happy to give you full credit for the video segment I'd use. I'll be looking for any tog swimming around the wreck because this episode is focused on tog fishing. Thank You, Dave Kline www.youtube.com/@raptradventures4544
Looks soooo relaxing at the bottom.
Great story about the prop and nut. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks 👍

I really enjoy your videos. They bring back the fun and memories that I had diving with Ocean Wreck Divers. Tell Howie I said Hi and it’s nice to see him still getting wet.
I want to dive with you guys.. Seriously. any chance?
I ran into Capt Harry a few months ago at a bar in Cape May. Recognized him from your videos. Great to talk fisheries with him and pick his mind.
Harry is going to be famous someday!
No blackfish anywhere huh? How deep is the wreck?
About 75ft.
@@joefiorentino4551 what time of year/temperature do you typically stop seeing blackfish on the inshore pieces like that?
@@Swagmattic There are Blackfish, just not many. They hide in the wreckage when divers are around.
Not many fish but still a great video
Not many fish this time of year.
