Surviving Santa Barbara
Painted cave is one of the crazier roads I know of in SoCal, but OSM just after it is an all time favorite. Can't ride one without the other. Nice little road trip up the coast to hit some classics.

Cruising down the descent on the east side's premiere Wednesday morning group ride. After smashing up the first climb todays ride had a regroup at the top where I threw on the chest cam and followed Max Lane & Diego Johnson down. Super fun ride that was worth the 5am wakeup. Data is from me Strava from my ride: www.strava.com/activities/10375129861 Diego: diegjohnson Max: instagr...

A midweek ride with the legend SAFA Brian and LA's young gun Max Lane. I follow the boys down the most popular road for cycling in all of Malibu, Latigo Canyon. We clock the 2nd fastest time down the canyon, the KOM is held by SAFA. The speed and power data is from me behind the camera. Anyone know bar width and size crank on the foil rc10 in M?
when next video
No one mentions the frame fitted fenders that come as a syncros accessory. They are a work of art. This bike has the coolest frame out there.
Getting mine on friday...I ll use it for long flatish ride...
Hey nice what it's your average speed on that bike?
muy buen recorrido me gusta 😊
I have it in a 61 cm frame
Love going up that route, but I got a ebike so yeah kinda cheating on the uphill, allows to get up there weekly. I always stop at the park there too. And Trails Cafe.
What frame size is it?

Good Ole Santa Monica mtns 🦃💨👀
Awesomeness as always!!
Do Ventura or ojai
Sulphur mtn backside is on my list of roads!
Mega.
was just coming down this a couple days ago for the first time after climbing Gibraltar and had no idea how gnarly it was gonna be! lol
hell yea. was up there last night
I need it😢❤
Only pot holes were I am😢
Just filmed a terribly paved road today haha
That was a super fun video to watch thanks for posting it!. First time Watcher subscribed!
Thank you so much! Planning on getting more new films up soon!
Hookless is so dumb, just seems like a dangerous pointless feature.
Just don't run high pressure, this is dumb. You're not more efficient with 120psi. Hookless works great, but you need to know how to use it
Skateboards are dumb....pointless without brakes you know.
What's the external rim width? Thoughts on the wheelset
Not sure the external, but the internal width is 21mm. I've put almost 5,000 miles on them so far and have been super happy with the feel and performance.
@@alexcolorito thanks for the reply. Do they roll well and how are they in the crosswinds?
Yea they roll great, as for crosswinds if it's super windy I would go for something shallower personally but it's really a skill thing in the wind. I've seen safa ride the 60mm wheels in some insane winds and he was just fine. @@adsali03
Your pro 👍🏻
Do you have a rundown of your film equipment? Where did you get your data overlay from?
Living the dream. Count them before you wake
What bars did you go for? Reason why? Thanks.
Using the Syncros Creston iC SL X bars in 420/120 . They are made specifically for this bike
bro... i like your bike. ..
Is it a GoPro on a chestmount or smth different?
Yea GoPro on a chest mount
Great vid. Seeing the grade would also be useful/helpful too.
Enjoyed the video until the last section when you blew through many stop signs and passed on a double yellow. Hopefully you don’t get a few moving violations. Sorry, but don’t respect this type of riding. That’s how people get killed when trying to beat the latest Strava times.
What is up with the 🐑😆. Love me some Kenter dirt though
I was thinking the same thing. Was a very surprising sight, I have ridden these trails a lot and was a first time encounter. People have been telling me they are used for brush clearance.
Is he collecting his sweat
Grindin
We watch every video! 🚴♂🚵♂
Thank you so much!
Great video as always.
This dude has the same 'lazy' voice as Safa ;)
So you mean “cool & chill voice” ?
Beautiful! What's your height and what frame size you got? I'm 6 foot 2 and recommended size is xl but dimensions of the large 56 seem better
I’m 6 foot 2 and ride the XL frame. Perfect fit for me.
👍 Nice
Which GoPro are you using
GoPro 7
Great filming btw
Where is this ride?
Highway 39 in Southern California.
I have somewhat big hands and I went from Deda Alanera bars to Black Inc...the Alanera were creaking alot but they supported my hands fully. The black inc make my palms hurt just enough to notice but still an upgrade. Nice bar switch 👍
This channel is getting some momentum. Congrats on 1K subs 🚀
Slowly but surely! Thanks for the support
Fun fact: I tried doing this route down to the beach from the Hub with my dad earlier in the summer, except we took Temescal Ridge Trail all the way down. We learned pretty quick why no one on bikes takes the route down to Sunset 😳 It became a hiker's trail, super steep, really tight and narrow, lots of loose rocks, and a bunch of angry LA hikers.
Oh dang haha. I’ve actually done it once before but on a full suspension mtb and it was fun. It was on a cold grey weekday though so barely any people out. Would not be a good time on a gravel bike as you said
I love how you guys keep at least a bike length between each riders. Keeps everyone safe and gives time to react of something should happen.
Imagine the day that road gets repaved.
Just did that the other day. Hollywood sign first, on its 100th anniversary then Griffith.
Awesome!!!
Is that all about lowering your centre of gravity? (& also streamlining yourself?) … As part of me is wondering why He’s off the saddle!? 🤷🏻♂️
It’s much more aerodynamic so you go noticeably faster than up on the saddle
i love this descent. thanks for letting us all join in from your pov
Oof 1:39
SAFA wil be proud ;)
