I think you both missed the part where humans created the destruction of the planet in the first place, which is why they created the enhanced forest. Then when man thought of a way to destroy the entire forest and in turn the earth, the forest stepped in to stop the destruction and create balance in the world.

I'm probably going to write a book related to this movie.

The basis of the story is that they were doing genetic experimentation on the moon to make plants more resilient. Eventually, one of the scientists (Spoiler alert: He's in the movie) Got impatient, and introduced an untested gene that gave the plants sentience. They then escaped, breaking the moon in the process, and crashed down on earth in the form of those dragons. I don't know why they picked dragons, except to guess that since it's a Japanese movie... Yeah...

The movie would be better if they had stronger characters. The personalities of the main two are so forgettable.

I just wish they had given names for the creepy twins and their incredibly cute combined form o.o Though...the ending of the forest sages holding a series of kids makes me think that SHE will be one of those kids lol
