Had to fly on one of these a few weeks back , and I remember I was told that it was one of the brand new maxs that were delivered to the airline just a few days prior. I was scared beyond belief and I remember during takeoff I had my eyes shut. I got off as a shaky mess afterwards. I still remember the tail number which was n8910q

For crying out loud guys it’s not a 400, look at the engine pylon. It clearly belongs to the CFM56-7B series. This is an earlier 737-900 which means it has an older variant of the cfm56-7B which is why it sounds slightly different. What you mostly hear on newer built 737 NG aircraft is the CFM56-7BE which is a newer modification to the original 7B.
