Catarina is one of the pueblo blancos of Nicaragua. Historically, these towns had buildings of all white stucco. Now many have been painted but the name remains. Are you allowed to Go there? Isnt it private property?
Hello, and thanks for your comment. I've been researching and have yet to find anything that states that Canoncito is not open to the public to drive or walk through but that doesn't mean I'm not wrong. We saw no signage to that effect while driving the area and would never purposefully trespass. Please let me know if you find any official site that states differently. Thanks again.
I was there two weeks ago. Two signs. Cannot upload photos here. I was heartbroken, but we didnt enter.
@@stephanschulz1936 Thank you so much for the update. Our visit was in May of 2023 so I'm not sure if the signs weren't there then or if we just somehow missed them. I'm sorry you didn't get to see the canyon and I will update the text in the description to reflect your finding.
