Drove a EC12 with Eaton twin splitter and with eagle 375 also double drive a good motor on and off road.

Hi Paul, nice video. I preferred that dash to the later ones.
Brings back memories, spent most of the 90's driving an eff 375 with an Eaton twin splitter gearbox, around the UK with loads of steel ex Scunthorpe, almost .made me want to get my licence renewed, almost.
That looks a real beauty ya don't see many rigid F88's.
Now in Ireland I believe
Great video. Just popped in my feed 8 years late.
Well done,my late brother David keeping it rolling 👌

Originally 220 Cummins, but Now 250 Cummins
She sounds sweet as! 220 Cummins?
250 cummins
middle bay north at the side of the old cooling beds looks like billets for straightening on the gag machine or rsm
is that joe gurran in the crane trying to load the trailer ? i used to work in new bay south years ago
R. Hanson and son were the finest haulage firm in yorkshire my dad, my uncles, and a lot of good blokes from south and west yorkshire subbed for them in the 60'70'80 and made a reasonable living whilst being treated wi respect. These erfs i think were jack hanson last shot at the tipper job before realising it was all bolloxed. So he called it a day and retired to hollins hall, harrogate to peruse his fleet of racing horses trained by britain, salmon, smith or hills. i if were to take a pick i would go for hills, but thats like asking jack hanson or his old man what engine do you wont in your erf/atki?gardner/rolls or cummins.
hey they are still running one f12 plus 2 erf's in thrybergh today and occassionally you will find the odd sad old twat like me me sheeting bar in coil out of there. i am not greedy i could say a pound a tonne but i just wish i had 10p per tonne for every one that old girl has moved i think that one was one of the f regs so thay should have been, 150 tonne gross all up used to have to go past em gingerly on the run up to the weighbridge because the arse end on them boggies used to wobble, i think my arse would wi that weight on! but not to fast as bsc had there own speed cops operating days only. At nights on a good run loaded wi bar in coil out of the back mill running past the billet mill i could not just get me big merc to hit the limiter before i had to brake for the left hander and bridge,
Cant beat that crane noise at beginning of video, cracking videos tho alan looked a good job. Luke
A young dave parkin probably birmingham bound.
That's one weird place to work its like the prisoner driving round on your own I'd go off my head myself anyway good luck to ya
Thanks for taking the time to record and upload these steel works video's. A good insight into what happens around a steelworks. I would be interested to know what weight these gross at ?

Excellent video, from the 1980's at a guess, I was still at Roundwood bar warehouse then.
