Citroën Basalt: A Bold New Contender in the SUV Segment
The Citroën Basalt makes a bold statement with its SUV-coupé design. At the front, it features Citroën's signature split LED headlamps and a sleek grille, giving it a modern and aggressive look. The sloping roofline adds a touch of elegance, blending the ruggedness of an SUV with the sophistication of a coupé. Eye-catching 16-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels further enhance its striking personality.

For more power, the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine provides 110 bhp and up to 205 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. This turbocharged variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 9.95 seconds, offering a responsive and engaging drive. Fuel efficiency is impressive, with the naturally aspirated engine achieving around 18 km/l and the turbocharged versions delivering up to 19.5 km/l, balancing performance and economy.
Citroën’s signature suspension tuning ensures the Basalt excels in ride comfort, featuring an advanced comfort suspension system that absorbs bumps and uneven surfaces with ease. Its high ground clearance and robust front-wheel-drive setup make it capable of tackling various terrains confidently, from urban streets to unpaved paths.
Safety Features
Citroën has equipped the Basalt with a comprehensive suite of safety features. These include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and a reverse parking assist camera.
