Music, mostly experimental and lo-fi. Soundscapes, dreamscapes, memoryscapes: noises, visions and echoes. Stylistically, I aim for sincerity of expression rather than perfection.

Mnemonia - Grainy
This is part of a series of tunes that revolve around elemental spirits. They are everywhere around us, if you care to look. If you need a manual, I recommend Ramsey Dukes' "How to see Fairies".
Usually, I find that the elementals mind their own business. But for a few weeks in the last fall, some of them seemed eager to be cast into sound - so I tried my best.

While the circle remains closed, the spiral opens towards the outside forever.
Mnemonia - How To Say Yes

Saying yes to the world, to life, is not easy. Still, it's the most crucial thing - to find ones way back to the fundamental "yes", again and again.
Mnemonia - An Image Remembered From No Dream At All

"I couldn't help noticing how you admired the birch trees. Birchwoods more than any others are to be seen by autumn light! It surprises them in a dance, a celebration of something which is, in a tree, akin to the animal. They dance even on cold still days when the air leaves them motionless: limbs like illuminated bone caught moving - or just ceasing to move - in a mauve smoke of twigs." From "...
Mnemonia - Fading Fragments

Memory is a strange thing - so essential to our identity, and yet so fragile, illusive, fleeting. There are things I'd like to remember which are impossible to write down in words - so I try to capture them in music: journaling with noises and melodic fragments: memoryscapes and dreamscapes.
Mnemonia - Blackout Poetry
Переглядів 4714 днів тому
Have you ever tried making blackout poetry? This is how it works: you take a page with printed text and strike out (or paint over) any words that you don't like. It's fascinating what strange phrases & imagery can emerge even from a relatively banal text - although of course, interesting starting material can make your work even better. It's great to do on a rainy day. Try it some time, and put...

They are virtual, for ever inscribed in our hands and souls, hidden today i...
Mnemonia - Sunken Land / Versunkenes Land
Переглядів 18521 день тому
Not only the dead come back from Jerusalem, as Jung observed, not having found what they sought. But everything that once lived and now doesn’t live anymore comes back to us from the sunken land, with questions and demands. People die, but communities die too, ways of living die, dreams and futures die. Worlds die. And all of these that were once full of life stand at our doorstep. They hang in...
Dark Room / Blue Sky - Song inspired by Saikontan - The Vegetable Root Discourses

when the mind is clear, even a dark room has its blue sky when the mind is somber, broad daylight gives birth to demons and evil spirits The lyrics are adapted from a 16th century Chinese book of aphorims called "Saikontan" or "The Vegetable Root Discourses", which I first learned about in a talk from Alan Watts, and which can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/fW2fJIvuORs/v-deo.html
