Great job with the Door Guardian! He’s more of a gimmick boss, and I didn’t really enjoy the fight with him. If you want to keep your Fable bar full without using a Fable Catalyst, head over to the hotel’s training ground. It’s a super helpful place to fill up your fable bar easily. Also, don’t forget to check your P-Organ perks-you can choose one that starts you with at least one bar of Fable right away. Shock really messes with your stamina recovery, so be careful if that status effect hits. Oh, and now that you’ve dealt with the fake Alidoro, Hugo has taken his place as your boss weapon merchant. You can find him at the hotel in the same spot. I use the Perfection Grindstone a lot, especially for three bosses: the Door Guardian and two more that you haven’t met yet, so keep it handy! Also, just a tip on status effects-if the bar is orange, it means the status is fully applied, but if it’s purple, you still have some time before it hits. Keep up the awesome work-you’re doing great!

Amazing job defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood on your first try! The Puppet String can be tricky-it doesn't always work if something blocks it or if you're out of stamina, so keep an eye on that. Don’t worry about the Trinity Key just yet; you’ll use it later in the game. There are 16 records in total: 10 in the regular game and 6 more available in New Game Plus, which you can buy from merchants. The purple grindstone (Perfection Grindstone) will be super helpful if you’re struggling to parry-it can really make a difference. In New Game Plus, if you tell her that Alidoro is her brother, you’ll get another record as a reward for it. Just a heads-up: never teleport away when you’re listening to a record. If you do, it won’t give you any humanity when you try to listen to it again. Oh, and if you didn’t know, Arlecchino is the King of Riddles.

You were so close to defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood! It took me about two hours to beat them. If you get the Overheat status effect, try rolling or dodging to get rid of it faster. My strategy was to take out the Battle Maniac first (the one with the puppet string) since he has the most health. Shot puts can be really helpful if you want to use them-good luck!

The Alidoro choice is coming up after the next boss because the area is not that big so its not that far of a run back to the boss, The alidoro choice affects boosting your humanity depending on the decision you make, try not to lose your sanity during the boss fight; it’s tough, in my opinion! The Hermit Cave area can be a challenge, especially with those dart traps and open platforms-I found myself falling off multiple times, too. For grinding levels, I usually switch between four places depending on my progress: at your stage, Lorenzini Arcade is great for grinding by farming the two big guys and repeating the loop. Hermit Cave is also effective, though it's risky. The Grand Exhibition Gallery is a good spot, and eventually, you’ll get to Arche Abbey Upper Part - Internal Bridge, but that’s for the very late game. Good luck, you’re getting closer!

Great job with the Walker of Illusion and the Corrupted Parade Master! That ladder at 9:02 was actually a shortcut so you wouldn't have to run the whole way back up. I recommend grabbing some shot puts at the Mulam District if you’ve got some Ergo to spare, they make it much easier to insta-stagger bosses and enemies with that white outline around their health bar. The Auto Charge Pulse Cell upgrade is a lifesaver too, even if it's slow, so it's definitely worth considering. Heads up, the Alidoro choice is coming up soon, so be prepared! Also, you can now level up at any Stargazer, not just with Sophia, even in New Game Plus, which makes it super convenient. If you get a Cryptic Vessel depending on the Alidoro choice, make sure to hand it over to Venigni, read it, and then follow up with Eugene. Good luck with the next boss, you’ve got this!

Loved the start of the episode! The shovel handle is often used for its extra reach, especially when utilizing certain Fable Arts. Later in the game, when you get to an area and find the Mechanical Cryptic Vessel in a chest, make sure to head back to around 14:47 in the video and equip the Frozen Feast weapon. The Walker of Illusions was a nightmare for me too it took me about 10 hours and I lost count of how many attempts it took! She has the exact same moveset as that enemy in the Grand Exhibition with the small knife and the weird head.

Loving the videos, can't wait for more! You missed a chest right at the beginning when you ran over the train carts also, go behind the chair you spawned from and hit the wall, there's something hidden. I don't think you should’ve killed that guy who said "don't kill me"-he was the partner Belle was talking about, and you could’ve tried talking to him first. The "Armor of the Honourable" you get at the start of the game is part of a collaboration, though I can't recall which game. The Alchemical Booster helps speed up the Golden Tree, so you get gold fruits faster. I'd recommend stocking up on a lot of Special Purification Ampoules and Attribute Purification Ampoules disruption is going to be a real pain in this area, so be careful!

Great job with the Green Monster of the Swamp! It took me around 30 attempts too-that second phase with the charge attacks is brutal. As for Hugo, he plays a key role later on, and you'll discover more about Alidoro as the story progresses. Just be mindful of your choices when dealing with Alidoro; they’ll have an impact later in the game, and that's when Hugo becomes important. The Twin Dragon Sword is all about timing-focus on charged attacks that parry and follow up with a powerful hit. It can deal serious damage, but mastering the timing is key. Keep going, you're doing great!

Great job so far! Here's a few more tips: Any turret you destroy is gone for good. That broken puppet has a side quest, and if you finish it, the reward is amazing. Try using the Live Puppet Axe Blade with the Electric Coil Stick handle or the Dancer's Curve handle-they're fun combinations. Also, don't forget to talk to Belle, as she has a hidden side quest that many people miss since it doesn't show up. You'll usually get it after completing the Baron Swamp. When you reach phase 4 of the P-Organ, go for the stiffness ability that has a shield with an arm in it, t’s super helpful for parrying. The purple butterflies just teleport around the area, so keep searching. And make sure to explore the swamp thoroughly; there's a hidden chest waiting to be found.

Loving the series so far! Here's some info if you need it: Disruption is the only status effect that causes instant death. Corruption and Overheat chip away at your vitality, while Decay reduces weapon durability and vitality. Break affects the amount of health recovered with Pulse Cells when your bar isn't fully empty, and Electric Shock decreases your fable slots. Shock slows down stamina recovery. Also, every hit makes you lose ergo, and dying takes away a chunk of it-maybe around half. Keep it up, and can't wait for the next episode!

Great job with Victor took me like 5 hours to beat him when I played for the first time. Here are some tips: Stagger and Finish Moves: Be careful of enemies who can attack after being staggered. Sometimes, they'll have a quick follow-up attack that can catch you off guard, especially if you're aiming for a finishing move. Infinite Throwables: In the Malum District, there's a merchant who sells infinite shot put once you climb a ladder just keep in mind if you have extra ergo left if you want. Keep up the great work! You can reset your p organ and level at the golden tree back at the hotel. For fun the weapons I tried was Police baton handle with the Wrench head, Circular Electric Chainsaw Blade with the Electric Coil Stick Handle.

Keep throwables handy, especially the shot put-it can instantly stagger a boss when their health bar has a white outline. Remember that spot with the guy who asked you to fetch the wedding ring? When following the pipe, fall down in that area don't follow the normal way. Be careful when selecting abilities while using quartz. For dealing with dogs, use the puppet string to pull them close, which will stagger them for a moment.

I'm really enjoying your let's play series so far here are some tips that might help if you want: when combining weapons, pay attention to the type (slash, stab) and compare it to the handle and blade; if you see arrows pointing down, it means the combination will deal less damage, and consider buying the special grindstones since they help deal more damage based on enemy type (fire for zombies, electric for puppets, and acid for humans, though fire works too); also, don’t forget you picked up a Patience Amulet from the Malum District that boosts stamina recovery, which is super handy for longer fights, and for technique weapon combos that I use I recommend trying the Bone-cutting Saw blade with either the Booster Glaive Handle or Dancer's Curved Sword Handle.

Gosh, there's a game I've not seen mentioned in a long long time! On an unrelated, Kingdom Hearts finally was released from the terrible grasp of Epic's store and is on Steam now - if you ever feel like giving LP'ing that a go!

I'm considering to get this game with only 1 month left of summer vacatjon. But do the reviews scare me about difficulty. I beat Sekiro 4 times, with the last one of Demon Bell and Charmless, yet all the videos I've seen seems to tell this game is even harder.

Always a sad day when a HK Let's Play comes to a close, but all good things must come to an end eventually~ First time I've seen someone provoke the Spirit's Glade keeper! Unintentionally, but its interesting to see what happens when she turns hostile. The Zote Boss experience was quite fun to watch - turns out you can fight him repeatedly and he just gets harder and harder oof. You can still 'listen' to what Breta has to say, just with the Dream Nail. It's just a nod to the fact that NPC Dialogue loops sooner or later. ("Grey Prince, your words... Are they, repeating?") Funny how everyone seems to pick a similar voice for Bardoon! His sole purpose in the game is, like the Midwife, to be a Lore Dump. You can talk to him repeatedly and is one of about three(?) characters who will be aware of your using the Dream Nail on them.

Ah yes, the TOURNAMENT ARC - no Hollow Knight LP is truly complete without one!

What's even funnier about the Zote "battle" is he's INCAPABLE of harming you in any way. If you let him hit you the attack just bounces right off! His DreamNail dialogue during battle: "Fear not, cur your death will be swift." "I'll kill a thousand more...Will that be enough, father?" And when you defeat him: "Go on, cur scurry away! Lest I humiliate you further!" The Colosseum was almost Cut Content. If the Stretch Goal on Kickstarter had been reached it'd been a mini-expansion with its own storyline and quests. It like the Abyss goal, was not reached. Team Cherry added it in anyway, albeit without the storyline. Thus, the King Fool's corpse in the stadium remains an enigma....

Isma's New Grove! The tree can be Dream Nailed for a bit of dialogue, but it's pretty whoooosh unless you've been digging deep into the backstory / Dream Nailing certain other things. YT could really use a SpoilerTag like Steam and Discord, but basically there's a specific name dropped, and that name is someone you may have met before. Flukemarm's "voice acted" by Hornet's actor too. Funny! Brooding Mawlek is indeed somewhat hard in the early game, if you somehow manage to reach it that early.

Tiny little detail, but the noble next to Lurian is semi-unique; its no different than any of the other upperclass husks you come across no but when Dream Nailed it has unique dialogue. It was Lurian's... Butler? Retainer? <shrug> Something like that! Its funny how Elderbug is technically one of the younger characters in the game, since the Stag himself was around during the Kingdom's life. Wasn't expecting a boss fight this episode either! "Wow that's a giant spoiler!" Though not gonna lie, I have seen some LP's that reach Hollow Knight and then say 'Welp game's done!' and then move on, so silver lining here I guess!

Congratulations are in order for being one of the first if not the first LP'er to EVER reach Cornifer without dealing with the black gate he mentioned. I've watched so many LP's and not one so far has found the Fog Canyon map 'the intended way'. xD The explosive jellies are such a pain :')

You got my username almost perfect! I imagine the 'X' pronounced like a 'Z'. Forgot to mention this last time, but you can talk to the shopkeepers and the Last Stag directly by standing behind them and 'Listening'. The Last Stag will have a comment about every location you meet him in too! (It might only be first-time visits, it's been a while so I can't remember) No, you can't escape the corpse without Hornet saving you. No matter how fast you are it'll collapse before you get out. Since you missed Hornet's Dream Nail dialogue, here it is: "From where does it draw this strength?" "Could this one succeed?" "Is it strong enough?" Trying to dream nail a boss is VERY difficult though, but they all have dialogue to hear if you're crazy enough to try. The 'Lighthouse' corpses had Dream Nail dialogue: "...Turn it off?... Cannot... My King, I'm sorry... The sea calls..." Curious! "The Abyss" was a Kickstarter stretch-goal that didn't get met, and while the massive expansion was never added Team Cherry did grace us with at least this much. The Lighthouse would have been the site of a boss battle even! Since they were well into developing the game world by this point the Abyss was almost literally tacked-on, so it's the odd one out in the setting in quite a few ways. The Hunter's Log has two sets of dialogue for all of the enemies and bosses you beat. One being a description of the enemy, and one being the Hunter's thoughts on them. The latter's mostly just flavor text, but there's some exposition and world building in there as well - if lore/story intrigues you.
