Hey there! First off, great video, everyone! I really appreciate the insights you shared. However, I wanted to share my thoughts on the Harvest Host locations. I feel like there might be some overspending happening there. When you think about it, the average nightly rate at a good RV resort is usually between $80 and $150. If you’re spending over $150 a day just on purchases from the hosts, that adds up quickly! When we travel, we typically stay just one night at each spot and spend around $20-$35 on what the hosts offer. Since staying at these locations is “free” for us, it turns out to be a fantastic deal! Before we discovered Harvest Hosts, we were spending close to $200 daily when factoring in the nightly rate and other expenses. What brand of motorhome do you have ? It looks like a Winnebago roof because there top are like wood with a painted tarp on top for a roof. If you have a Winnebago then on the sides the top will bow over and lock under the side of the motorhome. This is a place also if you do not reseal with sealant once a year all the way down on both sides. They will start leaking as well check out for more holes every 2 to 3 months or I would if I was you. My motorhome top is fiberglass so isn't as much to have to maintain. Just keeping an eye on things can save you a ton of money. I have a friend in Arizona that makes a living replacing Winnebago tops from water damage.

I wish they would’ve had work from home options when you & Mickee were little… & that it might’ve occured to Daddy & me to get an RV when y’all were little. We would’ve totally been onboard with this lifestyle. Anytime y’all are somewhere where they have cabin rentals, hotels, or lodges, let us know, & we’ll gladly join you. Road trip!

I love these little sit down talks to have a moment to reflect on why this lifestyle works, and why it works for y'all. I think the biggest most telling point is discovering that friends had moved away. We often get trapped in our heads while traveling thinking if we went back to sticks and bricks that life would be perfect and stable, and that's just not true.

Ok ... i got halfway through before i realized it was clickbait. You hit some of the tourists spots ... like everyone else who visits here does. Sorry ... but thumbs down. I have been unfortunately living here since 2011 and you did not even scratch the surface. Would have been better received if the title just said "our fun time in San antonio" or something like that. Sorry, but there is nothing new in this video. 🙄

San Antonio long ago ceased being a town. It now has a population of almost 1.5 million people. It wasn't a town when I lived there in th '50s.

It was a game changer for our travels out west where theres no trees. Its been spotty in the Midwest where we couldn't get away from trees in areas we were staying. If you can find open sky its great. Sometimes I can't use the pole mount and have to use the stand to move it out and away from obstructions the pole would be under.
