Thanks for joining us at Hikinuki World Tour where we invite, inform, and inspire you to follow your travel dreams. Come along as we travel the word and discover things old and new. We'll be sharing our travel wisdom as we go with reviews, tips, and tricks.
NCL Pearl Port of Split Croatia | Diocletian's Palace | Marjan Hill | Laganini Restaurant 4K
Come join us on Day 4 of our 9 night Adriatic Sea Cruise aboard the NCL Pearl as we spend the day in Split, Croatia.
We will visit the former Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, see the Gregory of Sin statue and rub his big toe, climb the stairs up Marjan Hill for a beautiful overlook of the city.
We will have a late lunch with the walls of the palace at Laganini.
Back on the Norwegian Pearl, we will have dinner at Indigo Main Dining Room, have a drink at The Great Outdoors and Magnum's, and listen to Karaoke.
It will be a full day, so come along!

I don’t see value in being charged extra for food and drinks. All inclusive resort doesn’t charge extra, the value is not there.
@@WarrenChurch-mq1tv We’ve never done an all-inclusive but I see your point. I think there is some value in seeing different ports, and in the entertainment, however.
@@HikinukiWorldTour-pk8dd seeing different things is the only reason I was reading up on the subject of cruising but unfortunately the nickel and dime to death nature of cruising has completely turned my wife and I off of the experience. Charging for every beverage, activities and port taxes seems to be a cash grab.
@@WarrenChurch-mq1tv You definitely have a point! And recently the nickel & dime aspect has increased. Take a look at NCL as they often include the drink package, 2 specialty dinners for 2 ppl, internet, and shore excursion credit. Probably the best cruise line to get some “extras”.

Why the hell am I looking at this. A cruise is my idea of absolute hell. Trapped in a disease ridden prison , with thousands of loud , obnoxious arseholes. It would be a blessing if it sank , which they do , often. Just my opinion because yt made me watch it.😂

When did debarkation begin on your return to NYC?
Self-assist (the first off) was scheduled for 7:45. We had an airport transfer through the ship and our scheduled time was 8:45. Based on the times stamps from our videos, we got in line at 8:35, retrieved our luggage in the terminal at 9:30, and got on the bus around 9:45. I know there were periodic delays while we were in line, but I don't know if that was due to customs or what the issue was. But, it took much longer than we expected!

@@jhilladay Lucky! You’ll love it - I guess it is now a Ritz Carlton but I don’t think they’ve changed anything. This hotel will definitely fit into the Ritz portfolio! And Ritz is a Marriott, so if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, you’ll get points - nice little bonus 😀

@@MaryCampbell-s7i We were able to sign up before. The only show we couldn’t get were the comedy shows in the smaller venue - The Attic, I think it was called. If you can’t reserve in advance, go to the box office right when you get onboard! Have a great time!!

@@briantraut6412 No disrespect intended - Ricky was awesome and great at getting the crowd pumped up!! On our cruise, Katy McCullagh was the “official” cruise director and, as far as I know, Ricky was not officially introduced. Again, he was fantastic and really fun - I can definitely see that he would be one of the best cruise directors!! Katy was the person at all the shows doing the introductions, and, in the Cruise Compass, any reference to the cruise director was “Cruise Director Katy”. Maybe they’re switching off??

My wife goes cruising with her BFF because I absolutely loathe cruising...well other than the food which is usually fab. I always feel trapped when I'm on a ship but she feels liberated.
@@peterreed9566 Have you tried a shorter 3 or 4 night cruise? Maybe that would be more to your liking! Or we did a Bermuda cruise which docked for three days in Bermuda and we could come and go as much as we wanted 😊
It could be one hour, one day, one week or more and I'd always feel trapped. Unless I can get off the ship and on to dry land at will I just feel awful and on the verge of a panic attack. Mind you I was even worse when I used to fly.

How does the sail away party on this boat compare with the Coco party on carnival?
In someone else’s video. They said the higher the floor that you were on the hotter it is and the airflow is not as good in the cabins. Is this true?
We were on deck 14 and our cabin was always quite cool and didn’t notice a lack of airflow. If the balcony door wasn’t closed tightly, then the a/c turned off, but that was pointed out by our cabin steward. So I guess I can’t really say for sure, only what we experienced. I did think that a few of the elevators seemed warm at times.

@@Destination_Fun We had so much fun and you will, too! Casino was a blast but there’s so much to see and do in a such a short time, it cut into my casino time a little 😂
