Jan Lisiecki - Rachmaninoff Prelude in C# minor Op.3 No.2
Great piece and likewise great performance. Impressive. Breathtaking
I really like his approach of the doppio movimento. Maybe a bit too brutal at certain times, but I like the feeling of rage, passion and pure chaos he’s putting, which is quite refreshing and different from most performances I’ve ever heard.
This guy tapped into a monstrous rage at some point during this piece, God this might be favourite performance ever of this piece!
The best interpretation had I ever heard! Tempo of final part is insane
I adore Jan, but just no. This is not what Chopin wrote.
For such beautiful music is worth to live.
Say what you want about the beginning of his interpretation, but there is no doubt Lisiecki's doppio movemento is the greatest yet, besting even Sokolov. This isn't just agitation. This is a volcanic wrath manifested onto a piano.
the best one
What an explosion!
Tempo is a mess, ruin the entire piece and so disturbing to hear
so interesting and beautifull nocturne . !!!
Wspaniale wykonanie,dziekuje.
The voicing is seriously incredible
Sorry, Rubinstein for me sill the greatest interpretation of this piece.
Thank You for amazing passion in third part! This is incredible!
Nasz Janek robi to znakomicie.
Cette interprétation rend mon corp mou, cela me rends tellement vulnérable. C'est au dessus
He plays the agitato agitated--sounds obvious, but how few of the greats do it!
I’ve rarely been this touched and moved by a pianist Absolutely brilliant emotionnaly, and so modern and refreshing
2 Teile gut , der 3. Teil absolute Katastrophe.
Cudownie ❤️💫
He fell chopin sadness
someone needed a bathroom break
He had me until he started playing the last section way too fast for no reason. The last part was muddled and the emotion of the melody line was lost. The last part should be demanding, but there should be emotional pay-off.
Stunning take on this piece - It's becoming a favourite!
This speaks so much love, each note...healing ny broken heart
Absolutely ruined the nocturne.
After Gilels, this is the one!❤
Best performance by far, ever!
I adore this composition from Chopin. The whole cosmos in a single piece.
The section starting at 4:00 is much too fast - he misses all the base notes which should be emphasised to provide real weight and counterbalance to the top. They also provide a superb melody underpinning the rest of the piece. This is a lost opportunity. I wish he had played this a little slower and brought in some more colour. It can go in waves which makes the piece so much more emotinonal for the audience.
well thats what makes this interperattion unique and what makes so many people love it, he treats the piece the way he wants to and in my opinion its way more emotional
Nieźle Janek. Całkiem nieźle. Myślę, że Chopin byłby zadowolony.
I don't even know what to say, I was left in awe! Magnificent, this is genius!! 🤯
this rendition is absolutely breathtaking!!! It brings tears to my eyes… thank you Jan ❤ now I will try to play it !
Sensacional...!!!!
This is an interesting interpretation, from 4:30 onwards it started sounding less like a Chopin Nocturne, and more like a Scriabin Etude with all the accented base notes.
Meraviglioso
A great performance of an astonishing piece. The amount of passion that Chopin put into this single work is off the scale.
3:48
Jesus Christ this is magnificent
this is my favorite interpretation of this piece, ever. it might not be competition winning, but i'll be damned if i don't listen to this recording ten times more than others. it's unique, has passion, and is convincing. well done
His "DOPPIO MOVIMENTO" is amazing!
Nope. Insufficient projection of the melodic lines, too rushed when melody is in sixteenths, missed the culmination at the end. Since you must be a pianist, here's something that would amuse you -- ua-cam.com/video/15PNJXIUgxA/v-deo.html
@@BoyevoyKabanStyopa I agree that it's rushed and personally I would prefer a slight rallentando in some places, especially the end. But I like the passion and intensity. I tried to play the piece and found it very difficult in the Doppio Movimento to find a good ballance of momentum and melodisity. I did not find any interpretation yet which feels fully satisfying.
@@kreorporus1487 Ain't that the truth! I know of no fully satisfying performance either. Hard piece to pull off!
I can see why some have an issue with the interpretation. It did feel hurried and without the breath that you usually find and didn't allow for the nuance of the emotional story.
absolute

Very brave and skillful to deliver such interpretation. clap clap clap. Not my favorite one but, RESPECT!
2:20 oops. this is a wonderful performance
