We've experienced it all. Loved Korea, but the smoking was a bit shock for my husband ... you walk on the main street, turn into small shady alley and there are hiding tons of people with cigarettes :D We saw true face of Korea and made a lot of friends! Also my husband was laughing, that my reading is like from primary school and my spoken is like 10 years old, but then he was grateful when we got lost, that we could read directions or I could ask for a direction ... and now I saw him watching for flight tickets back around cherry blossom time :D

I'm used to Singapore. I guess Korea is the same. 😊

I’m glad to hear though that South Korea is evolving, because I think people should be. Oregon chil and open. But I do agree with most of the things like going on the right lane (it also goes for other cities like London, NYC and so), no sitting on elderly\pregnant women’s\ disabled seats. I do think that Koreans need to engage more in small talks, we want to know you better :)))) What is catcalling btw? Other than that I love youuuu South Korea

Im a hijabi. The korean guys i met extended their hands first. One of the guys, who is a very dear and close friend of mine, even wanna hug me when he dropped me off at the aitport limousine stop. I take it that they are comfortable with me. Some korean ladies i met were like that too. Even my korean guy's mumhugged me first when we first met. Im not a westerner even ^^'

i just discovered you today and subscribed : ) we are considering visiting Seoul and Busan in Feb/March 2025 and this is great timing to research the do's & don't's traveling to Korea. The last time we visited Seoul was too short - 2nites back in Oct 2019 while we were in Japan. We hopped a flight over to Seoul :) Perhaps you can do a video of the easiest and efficient way to get to Busan from Seoul by train? Thanks from the USA! 😊

How about teaching koreans about other cultures too. If koreans want to make use of tourists, you can support your country and make video about cultural diversity. Instead of trying to teach foreign tourists, you can make videos for koreans, how to treat tourists of kindness and understanding. Meeting people from different countries can be opportunity to learn. To be more open-minded and engage with others can gain new insights and broaden cultural horizonz. Korea is pretty aggressively exporting its own culture with k-dramas. More reasons to be mindful with other cultures. Before preaching to others how they shouls behave in Korea, take some time to reflect on your own behavior.ˆ

No. 7 is related to side of the road where vehicles drive. I am from country that adopts UK system. So when I first arrived at Incheon Airport, I subconsciously stood on the left side of travelator. Luckily I realised the persons in front of me & the side that was left empty for those rushing to go past. Anyway great tips. I went to Seoul just 12 days ago. Wish I had watched this video but luckily I already implemented almost all tips in this video.

These are simple and lovely ways to show courtesy and respect.
