GPA, GRE Physics score, solid letters of recommendation, and your C.V. (curriculum vitae, or resume), highlighting publications and/or lab work experience. It also helps if you have T.A. (teaching assistant) experience. The Statemeng of Purpose, if it is read at all, carries very little weight.
