I do my own bids, I run my own machines, I pour my own concrete, I set my own forms. Whether its 1000 yards or 4 yards. Ive worked around the world everywhere in US from east coast to west coast. Hand curb is by far the toughest thing to master and ive mastered it completely. Theres guys out here that do some beautiful work, But theres also guys out here who take credit for people doing beautiful work and they dont do shit. The west coast is full of egos and it needs to stop. Not one finisher on west coast does things the way east coast does and vise versa. There is alot of inexperienced guys particularly 1 on youtube who calls himself the best and does none of the work.
4’ slicker? Is that the tools name?
@@suewassel359 we call it a slicker in MI, The actual name is a darby. I have it in the link at the top of the youtube page. I posted all the tools I like to use that are most efficient for east coast and west coast
Just hoping nobody hits there heads that would be tragic 😭😂 I never liked wearing hardhats I ended up hitting my head more 🤦
Terrible he should be collecting S.S.I. Check , he’s way to slow he does more harm then good. Not being mean just speaking facts. Anyone disagree with me bring it
@@jorgesantana7931 this guy has never had a driveway crack because of the way he works. I guarantee you he outfinishes anybody you know. He also does all the operating and bidding and sets his forms. You cant sit on the other side of a screen and talk like that when you dont know somebody
@@globalconcrete love it when people who don’t pour concrete tell ya you’re doing it wrong or to slow 😂
Tell me what’s wrong then ?
Where is screed bub 🤣🤣
@@fikihereyea everybody has their own way, this is his. Hes taking his time here cuz the truck is empty but he does alot of work

Worked out perfectly
Please put a plywood to cover that door
@@isaurodominguez6055 jobs already done and looks amazing. We did well as usual
Hardly ever see backhoes on UA-cam. Nice to see one finally. They have their place
Has it ever snapped from what i understand concrete isnt structurally sound with pressure placed on it like that
@@captainjack9354 no sir it never breaks, and we pull out 10x10 on the regular like this and break it up in the trucks. Fortunately construction does this not me but its who i started with back in the day and 40+ years its worked out perfectly
I was gonna say a good operator not thinking about the plate steel that welded on top of the bucket lol we utilize a two and 310 on a daily basis. I’d much rather have options then sit with a straight trackhoe
@@seanraymond4336 we have options but we dont need em doing residential. We can build a house and dig the footings as well or we can remove everything no problem. Its great
Good Man
Yessir we get er done
I work at heritage granary and cleaning time sucks shoveling all the elevators we have I use to split wood with my dad from like 13 to 18 and it definitely helped prepare me for things most young adults nowadays can’t do it just aren’t soft to, that hard work builds character good work!! 🔥
Or just too soft**
If you can get through this stuff and turn it into a business eventually you can be the guy calling the shots. But you just gotta make it through the tough shi*!!!
I bet they'd let him use the jackhammer if he got a haircut lol

Shoulda made better life choices😊
@@mattseidler If u knew the kinda money that was in concrete u wouldnt say that
@@globalconcrete breaking 9yds by hand with a sledge standing in a dumpster ... I stand by my comment
@@mattseidler this is a dumptruck thats owned that pulls a machine thats owned those 2 alone are paid for over $100,000. Im getting ready to pour a $51,000 job in 1 day. Now this isnt the only thing I do I have my hands in alot including real estate and land, crypto investments. Ect. But where on earth are you going to make money like this and not have to work hard?
@@globalconcrete the clown with the sledge wearing shorts and no glasses.... I mean what could possibly go wrong. He should have made better life choices. Sounds like you've got an empire I hope for your sake you're well insured,
@@mattseidler everything is legit, There is lots of money in this work. But the clown you speak of actually makes alot of money. He has alot of other streams of income
There is no rebar and the reason people keep saying that is because it makes the concrete exceptionally easy to break up, breaking this up by hand with a sledge is no big deal it’s easy and it breaks easy.
@@nickfish3545 rebar makes the slab easier to break up just have to break it along the rebar. If u hit it on top the rebar its will crack all the way down. Wire mesh is the problem
No rebar
@@PatrickDenehy-f4k cold states dont use rebar much. In Michigan its not a thing because the ground shifts. You’re about the 10th person to say this, How do you guys not know this?!
@@globalconcretebecause not everyone is in cold states WISE GUY
@@deluxe5613 exactly, So why would you tell someone to do it your way or complain when you dont know? That is the point wise guy
Did I see a mini ex? Come on guys. Smarter not harder. U got 30-40 years of this
everything we do is by hand, No we had a backhoe but u cant drive on peoples lawn that unprofessional. Then u gotta pay for landscaping
1 guy lol
all thats needed
Why use a buggy and not drive in pour out the chute
@@jaydensperle5749 If the truck cracks the sidewalk or city approach you cost yourself about $5,000 plus a permit. Anytime you do residential just gotta be as clean as possible or inspectors and city will come after you
I know they are doing there job ,do they get a bounce for not passing out not quitting
@@warneckefarm6812 You can ask anybody whos ever worked with me. And that is me on the screed. I always pay well and I pay better than anybody else on jobs. But if youd like to know 1 guy made $800 and the other 2 made $2200 for 2 half days
That's gonna crack and settle so bad no base rock no rebar
Trust me guy, we do this daily. This was 6” thick with sand base plus 2” of gravel over top per customers request. This mfr is never cracking. And if we did it your way with rebar thats exactly how you get cracks in a cold state. This will last 30+ years, Yours with rebar would be lucky to make it to 3 years

Where's the rebar?
@@robertesparza5470 in MI we dont use rebar, Its very rare. With the seasons it will cause cracks easily. We constantly remove stuff with rebar in it and thats why they stopped using it. Ever our roads barley have it, Most rebar is in the curb and gutters
Total nub😂
Should be protecting the glass doors
@@crasherxtreme weve never had a problem or bad too. Just gotta know how to properly swing a sledge

For $25 at an equipment rental place, you can get a jack hammer for half a day(don’t rent by the hour). Work smarter not harder, your body will thank you.
I own a jack hammer, a big one. They like the hammers. We like a good workout too
Not hating at all, just talking from couple of decades of experience. I was the same way with in my 20’s. Hard labor meant in shape bodies and big muscles. I literally did all these things for the same reasons. Not just me but friends and coworkers also did it for the same reason. I don’t know any 1 of them that will ever say they would still do it that way. After knowing the consequences of that way. I really am only trying to help, not hate at all. I wish there would have been some elders back then telling me this stuff. Problem is that we didn’t have the equipment and tech you all have to do day. Just saying because like I said, I wish someone would have told us back when I was in my 20’s.
@@a.kryptonitemoorsblow4326 we have equipment, Everybody does things different. The guy running this one is 70 years old and he still swings with a sledge lol. Im just helping out on this job, But id much rather have proper equipment then bust balls. I did years of hand curb thats in my other videos, no matter how big the company they never wanna invest for the proper tools so im trying to change that
@@globalconcrete you are absolutely right. That’s why when I finally got my contractors license and went out on my own. Invested in equipment piece by piece as I could afford it. Glad you enjoy it like I do. Most don’t these days, it’s hard to find good help that’s young.
