I had the pleasure of going to Camp Grandview in 89 and 90. Barry Gott was the guest instructor one of those years, I think 89. He brought the hand written sheet music of Lightwalk with him and this was the final piece we performed that year. During the rehearsals over the summer, Barry sat in with us and played the cornet solo and even the trap set. What great memories. Now having said that, We were critiqued and instructed by the composer of this tune. We knew how he wanted it performed. And this version here (and there are many on utube) is the absolute best one I have heard since we performed it with Barry in attendance more than 30 years back.
