I'd like to do something like this. A large jar with plants and shrimp. What types of plants would you recommend that don't need a traditional light source? Are there any plants that would thrive in just a jar in my living room that gets no sunlight? Also, do you do water changes on this or just top off the evaporated water?

I want to do this. So you dont use any filtration? Id keep neos in there, but do you really not use a filter of any kind? What kind of plant is that, because im serious about doing this. It would support neos, or any other stocking ideas?

You've got an amazing talent for aquascaping. That's probably my weakest quality in the hobby. Well that and spending money on gimmicky items. Your use of wood is fantastic and is giving me ideas for a 250g rainbows tank that I'm in the planning stages of. I'll stick to the beginner plants like I had in my 55g. Anubias, jungle val, java ferns, flame java moss, amazon frogbit and crypts. All those plants seem to like my hard Florida water, and I'm moving back to Houston soon that has the same water parameters for the most part. I'm enjoying watching your videos
