3D Reindeer Tutorial for Santa Mug
Hi Friends! Join me as I sculpt the 3D reindeer head piece that I use for my Santa Claus Reindeer Mug. The mug tutorial will be coming soon! You will need to make 3 of these heads for the mug, but this tutorial will show you how I sculpted it. I was recording with my phone, so I apologize for the notification sounds you hear in a couple spots (they are loud and annoying and I'm so sorry!).

Size of wrap yours fits nice. Love this video
Do you have a tutorial for the different types of pen you use without removing the clip part?
How does the top of the pen get sealed with the uvresin like the bottom so wont vinyl wont peel off? and do you use a inkjet printer, herd if you use a inkjet printer the ink will run. I was wondering if lazer printer will work
Do you print off your pen wraps or is there a legit place to purchase them from cause at the moment I don't have a printer 😢
Hi could you find the link for the acrylic blanks on Amazon thanks
Can you bake the inkjoy pens as well? I've only baked the bic
Love your pens! Do you flatten your clay?
I'm not sure what you mean by flatten. I condition my clay so it's easier to sculpt with, if that's what you meant. 😊
The gnomes are very cute! Difficult to see what you’re doing when you’re outside the camera view. Maybe tilt your camera down more.
Thank you I think I’m going to try some Rastafarian Gnomes. Wonderful work. Again thank you for sharing your talents and ideas with us ❤❤❤
Where did you go? you haven’t been on u tube for a year? Come back I really enjoyed your channel
Great pens but I don't have a cricut. Thanks for tellling us.
You do not need a cricut to craft on these pens. You can use paint, clay, glitter, or printable vinyl, which I use often. I hardly use my cricut for pens. It's certainly not a necessity. 😊
VERY informative!! I always wondered how to make vinyl lay down on top. And thanks for posting that link for the snipper tool and just went and ordered me one! Just as a tip: The resin you are using is not epoxy just resin. That could be confusing to people because you don't put your finger directly in epoxy which you know gloves are recommended with epoxy. ❤❤
You're very welcome! Happy crafting! :D
Thank you !!!!!!!
My pleasure!!
Can you tell me what color glitter you used on this tutorial?
Love love love your pens. Absolutely beautiful!!! You are so so so talented!!! Thanks for sharing your art.
What movie is this rain deer from ?
The Santa Claus movie! :)
Have you tried painting with acrylic paint and then clear resin over? Just curious if resin cures over the paint. I think I’ll give these a try! Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes, I do most of my pens by painting them with acrylic paints. Once it's dry, you can seal with your preferred resin!
where can I find that pencil wrap file...?
Wow allot goes into it 😳
Adorable & fun❣️👍
These are great! Thanks for the video.
What type of material are the wraps made of?
I use printable vinyl
I use floral tape (sticky on both sides) on my rods. Holds the pen in place, nothing sticks. Works great!
Thank u for ur tutorial. I’m curious, does ur resin in the cups stay wet until u cure it? I know epoxy would cure & harden, but I haven’t worked with uv resin. Thank u. Crafty gnomie hugs, Donna
Are you just using a nail uv light?
Yes, it's a UV LED nail lamp.
Where can I buy this pencil wrap?
So awesome. I love ink joy gell. You showed a different but similar pen you said you keep clip on. Will you do a video on how you glitter a pen working around the clip? There have been times not sure if it was humidity level my uv resin was tacky after cure. I let the pen sit for couple hours and if still slightly tacky I use alcohol on coffee filter and wipe the pen. That seem to take the tackyness away. My nail salon told me that trick and it worked. Thanks for video it was easy to follow very informative and I learned so much. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
I enjoyed your tutorial. Have you tried U-Line for the pens?
Adorable! Thanks for the tutorial 💕
How can I order one
You can message me on my Facebook page 🙂
You make this look so easy! I am so worried I will mess up so many pens. First question the epoxy where do I get what you use? Second question what is the thing you use at the end to cure the epoxy? This is a new thing I really want to learn how to do
These are soooo cute.
I haven't tried these yet. You make it look easy.
Are the pens covered in clay? Ty
The gnomes are made with air dry clay.
Why use a light machine? Is it needed for acrylic paint.
I use UV resin to seal the pens and gnomes and need the light to cure it.
Thank you for the tutorial. I think I'm gonna try. In the video you said you personalize them. How would you add like a name?
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Really GREAT video & explanation! Keep ‘em coming!!!
Awesome gnomes! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Question for you - Can you use the air dry clay over pens that are already resined? Can air dry porcelain clay be used? Your video really makes be want to venture into clay gnomes.
Yes, I have made gnomes over pre glittered or even pre vinyl'd pens and it works great! Yes, any air dry clay will work. One of the reasons I love it so much! It's definitely worth a try! It's so much fun seeing them come alive!
Have you tried using sculpey baking clay?
I use baking clay in tumblers or when making pen holders, but the pen would melt if I tried to bake the clay on it. I don't recommend baking clay for plastic pens. I do love it though!
I noticed one of your gnomes come off the end (removable).... how did you do that?
Those are a different style that I made around a finished pen and once dried I removed it and then attached to the top of the clicker. I'll be doing another tutorial on that style soon.
Thank you for the video!!!! I can’t wait to try this, So you paint it with the uv prior to the clay drying?
No, the clay should be completely dry before you paint it with UV. I let these guys dry for 24-36 hours before I color and seal them. I had another batch of them ready when I made the video so I didn't have to stop recording. :)
Hi what is the name of the epoxy you used and what About the light?
I use Decor Rom UV Resin and my light is a Jodsone nail lamp.
What uv epoxy did you use?
I use Decor Rom UV resin
Thanks for the tutorial!
Luv this tutorial! 2 questions: What is the brand of light machine you use? And, what is the exact name of resin you used with the acrylic paint, because there are soooo many choices on Amazon? TFAI!🤗
I updated the description for you to provide the links for my light and resin. Yes, there are soo many choices! Hope these help!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video-It’s great, you were very thorough!
Too cute. I’m going to try my hand at making one. Thank you for this video.
What kind of vinyl do you use?
I get mine off Amazon. Here's what I use: www.amazon.com/Premium-Printable-Vinyl-Sticker-Paper/dp/B088YFJVKV?pd_rd_w=qXDVQ&pf_rd_p=82585345-d4df-49b0-bbc1-c842d1dad3c9&pf_rd_r=7EGM0FG8PXZEC17CT5HV&pd_rd_r=6bb51d4e-249a-4b5c-a1a9-ecd80a9a1ff2&pd_rd_wg=VdIQi&pd_rd_i=B088YFJVKV&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_rp_1_t
