Driven apart by conflicting views and their father, sisters Haebi and Daru make a last stand to preserve their sisterhood.

I love how Glinda put band-aids on the bunny after Elphie through it across the room
Galinda giving back the birds’ eggs like she’s not the one who purposely opened the window to knock them over is a perfect depiction of the hypocrisy that’s prevalent in this story.
She HAS ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE Glinda... "BLONDE" hahaha 🤣 i beat the theater was just FUCKING LIVIED when they heard that first hahaha 🤣

I think Ive watched this like 27 times so far!! Definetely one oof my top favorite Wicked animatics serioously!! They way they look at eachother with love but they have to mask gatred in front of others but its so obvious they love eachother!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! plese make more liek this!!!

This look so impressive i especially love the expressions and the black and white aesthetic
I just love it that Glinda is drawn with circular lines while Elphaba is drawn with sharp lines.
Maybe it is to define their personalities
When I first saw the title I expected this to be about the two characters refusing to kill each other and my expectations have been subverted in the most delightful way. They are equal in their sisterhood, equal in death, it’s the strongest form of solidarity you could ever show, LITERAL DEATH. It shows that the winner didn’t fight and kill because she wanted to live, but because she had no choice. Maybe because she wanted to save the one she killed from having to fight, because it’s a fate she hates. Not to mention that the girl who lost had ample time to get up but didn’t. Neither of them wanted to win
gosh i love this analysis so much! and you’re pretty spot on too!! we were actually supposed to have them both live and kill the game master, but time didnt allow it and we ended up liking this concise, tragic, and meaningful ending much more :) neither of them wanted to win, because what would victory be without their sister?
@@crowdust i guess neither of them wanted to “win” in the sense they were expected to, because it wouldn’t have truly been a victory. Either course sounds really cool and y’all did a FANTASTIC job! I personally meddle in 3D animation although im nowhere near your level (yet!) and I know how hard and time consuming this stuff gets, and everyone did an amazing job conveying a story in such a short clip, from the animation and character designs to the sound acting actor and script! Props to y’all!

@@crowdust heck yeah! It’s Anastasiadalia_art, although at this point I don’t post most of my animations because a lot of the time I’m not happy enough with them, and I’m still figuring out how to animate whole scenes, but I’m learning! I look forward to seeing more of your work also >:]

I like how this animatic paints them as lovers. Although I do not believe the source material goes this direction I appreciated it.

Actually the book Wicked, has large queer subtext and multiple kisses between Elphie and Glinda
@@cashewthecashew2713 Nice. It's definitely clear to tell in the play that it seemed to be originally written that they were lovers but this seemed to be hastily changed with the shoehorned in hetero love interest for both of them to satisfy the 90's / 2000's broadway audience.

Omg I love it so much. This animatic of the song is unlike any other of it I've seen. Most follow the lyrics straight up but here you make your interpretation of the two bickering but liking each other and havjng societal pressure separate them. I love it.
